On January 25th 2019 Mayor Buttram announced his candidacy against incumbent Rick Wehmeyer; ensuing debates brought attention towards how different types of government might work better while balancing different budgetary pressures faced by both mayors along with potential conflicts between them should either party win office - something that will likely arise again given recent changes within state government made particularly relevant to PA’s largest city!

In 1754, Benjamin Franklin served as Mayor of Berwick and developed a relationship with local leaders that would lead to his famous quotation about "A man's house does not stand until he erects it."In 1892, William McKinley became President of the United States and dissolved the federal government in its entirety. He ordered all military troops from across America to be readied for war which led to a series of raids against local farmers by Buffalo Bill Cody and other Wild West exhibitionists. This caused much economic decline for Berwick which was still struggling economically when World War I began in 1914. However, during World War I, Berwick did manage to recruit 2nd Lieutenant George Armstrong Custer into the U S Cavalry Regiment which helped contribute significantly to American success during World War I
Berwick was founded in 1795 by John Berwick and his family. The town became a borough in 1854 and was elevated to a city in 1907. In 1933, the city merged with the adjacent borough of Carlisle to form the current municipality of Berwick-Carlisle.
