Woodburn is a small town in the Rogue Valley of Oregon. The town was founded in 1892 by two brothers, George and Benjamin Woodburn. The population was 1,604 at the 2010 census. The townsite was named for General David Dixon Woodburn, an American general who fought in the Mexican-American War and later served as governor of Arizona. In 1892, Dixon's brother Benjamin also settled in the area and began to build a cabin on what is now Main Street. In 1903, George Woodburn died and his brother Ben took over running the business. In 1905, he married Anna Bellecy Smith from nearby Sisters City. They had two children until Anna's death in 1966. Over time, Ben became more involved with the town government and sold his interest in the business to his son John in 1969. John continued to run it until his death in 1995; it then passed down to his grandson Christopher Aherno Aherno II who currently operating it as an independent business entity today. Woodburn is located at (41.824674,-123.516781). It has a total area of 28 acres (11 hectares). The main street that runs through the town is Main Street/US 395 which connects it to Sisters City directly across US 395 eastbound and westbound around its length; both roads are gravel surface with no pavement or shoulders present beyond their respective intersections (the only access into or out of Woods Burnett comes from East Boulevard which circles behind it). Other streets include: Cedar Road/Oregon Route 10 which parallels US 395 just south ofits junction with Main Street; Westwood Drive/Oregon Route 97 which leads northwest from Woods Burnett towards Umatilla County; Northwoods Drive/US 99W which leads northeast from Woods Burnett towards Walla Walla County; Vinegar Road/U S Highway 97N which connects US 395 northbound near its junction with Oregon Routes 10 & 97E southeast of Woods Burnett towards Interstate 5& exit 222A miles away), all arterial street names ending with " avenues" such as "Alvin", "Avery", "Berry", etc., while dirt routes such as "Central Avenue" lead basically straight through woods without any other name changes beyond their respective intersections - making them effectively one long primary road artery throughout most of their length save for occasional deviations onto secondary routes that intersect either within or outside ofWoodburn limits

The town was founded by John Sellers and others in 1876 on theoma (a large tract of land which had been donated to the government by James Bullock). At that time, it was one of the most important towns in Oregon because it served as a transportation hub for goods reaching the gold fields at Siskiyou and Muir. The town grew rapidly and soon boasted a population of around 100 people. In 1905, during World War I, Woodburn joined forces with other nearby towns to form the Multnomah County Union League. The organization helped raise money for the war effort and established precedents for later community organizations. Today, Woodburn is a small town with a population of just over 10 residents. It has maintained its close-knit community spirit since its inception and continues to be an important center for local commerce and culture. Its history is also Shuttleworth Museum’s focus, as they are working to research all aspects of Woodburn’s history including performances by local artists throughout the year
In 1853, the United States government acquired land in what is now Woodburn Township, Oregon. The area was then known as the Oregon Territory and included parts of what are now Douglas and Benton counties. In 1863, the U.S. Congress created the Portland District to include all of Douglas County and organized it into a county. In 1871, Multnomah County was formed from parts of Douglas and Benton counties, and in 1893 Hood River County was formed from Multnomah and Douglas counties.
