In 1935, Woodburn’s first rifle range was built on land donated by Mr. Copley, who had been instrumental in helping to found the city hall back in 1912- at this time, there were no public shooting ranges within town limits! The range was originally called “The Rifle Range” but changed its name to “The Gun Range” after it became clear that other towns in Oregon would also want their own range! Over time, various improvements have been made to the gun swivel such as an increase in torque (the ability to rotate) so that it can better hold onto rounds during reloading/unloading; enlargement of sighting circles for improved accuracy; and even adding precision gears so that it can now handle more rounds per minute during firefights! In 2007, The Gun Range added a muzzleloader range which opened up additional opportunities for training law enforcement officers on how to effectively shoot muzzleloaders!

Woodburn is an unincorporated community inMultnomah County, Oregon, United States. It lies along the banks of the Willamette River, east of Salem. The population was 1,681 at the 2010 census. The first Europeans to visit what is now Multnomah County were French traders and explorers in 1792–93. They named their new land "New Normandy" after a place they had seen on their travels. In 1806, James Klamath set out from his ranch south of Portland to found The Dalles Mines and Woodburn Township as part of a larger ranch venture that became known as the Klamath Route. When he died in 1836 his heirs sold most of his holdings to John Cushing who founded The Dalles Mining Company with Timothy Hutton and John Day in 1849). In 1863 William Hickman established a sawmill at the junction of Umatilla Creek and Willamette River near present-day Woodburn; this mill remain active until 1984. For many years it was one of the few commercial enterprises in town. In 1881 local farmers banded together to form the Agricultural Society which organized feed lots for livestock and grew corn, wheat, oats, barley and other crops on their own farmssteads orchards and vineyards until 1946 when statehood gave them ownership of these lands into which they have continuedto grow since then. In 1893 Alfred Hitchcock made his short movie "The Birds" at nearby Mount St Helens Park while filming scenes for "Gone With The Wind". Many people associated with Woodburn during its various stages include builder/renowned architect Myron Hunt (1910-1996), author Don Freeman (1927-2006), business executive Jack Norris (1911-1987) who served as Mayor from 1971 - 1979, actor Bob Culver (1925-2003) best known for playing Deputy sheriff Andy Dillon on popular TV show “McCloud” from 1966 – 1975 & 1980 – 1988

The town became a thriving agricultural community and was known for its fertile land and good water supply. In 1916, Woodburn was named after General John A. Woodbury, who served as Military Governor of Oregon during World War I. Woodburn's heyday came during the early part of the 20th century when it enjoyed a population of around 1,000 people. However, the town experienced declining popularity after World War II and its population decreased to just 100 residents in 1960. It has since regained some popularity as an agricultural community with a current population of around 150 people. The history of Woodburn is intertwined with that of the surrounding valleys which had been settled before them by various tribes including the Klamath and Umpqua peoples. These cultures interacted with each other causing significant archaeological discoveries throughout Woodburn's history includingChief Joseph Day's cache of weapons dating back to 1792 and Chief Robert Waugh's cannons from 1827-1830. The first white settlers arrived in what is now Woodburn in 1872 via stagecoach from Salem following reports that gold were being discovered near present day Medford. Today, Woodburn is one of Oregon's oldest towns and retains much local flavor thanks to its traditional foods and architecture which are typically made out of wood veneer or clapboard facade techniques typical among pioneer communities such as Fort Hall or Grants Pass (now Eugene). The town also boasted one of the country’s most famous bandstands until it burned down in 1959; however, many interesting items still remain buried beneath charred ruins today!
