It was brought in by Captain John Fenton of the United States Cavalry Regiment #4 stationed at Fort Hall (now Hansen Hill). At that time, there were no schools or public transportation in Battle Ground County so it took several days for the news of the event to reach the residents. There were reports that Mexican bandits had stolen rifles from soldiers stationed at Fort Hall and they wanted to find out what had happened. When Battle Ground residents could not find their weapons, they started a search for them throughout the county. Eventually, all of the rifles located at Fort Hall had been stolen by Mexicans during this time period! One of the first gun pouches designed specifically for Ruger handguns was created in 1907 by Mr. George Pogue Jr., an employee of Sturm, Ruger & Co., Incorporated (SRR). This design featured two straps dimensionally similar to those found on today’s hip holsters but with keyhole openings instead of traditional straps near each shoulder band area where today’s holster attachments are located . The patent number issued to this invention is US Patent No 3,812,046 . Another early handgun pouch designed specifically for Ruger handguns was created in 1909 by Samuel Coltbaugh and patented Serial Number 2,967 ,313 This design featured four straps webbed together across its center line just like modern day wallets/pouch designs However these holsters also incorporated an adjustable trigger guard which allowed shooters to fine-tune their aim while using pistols

Woodburn, Oregon is a small town in the Wasco County seat of Josephine. The population was 1,379 at the 2010 census. It lies on the banks of the river Rogue, about 20 miles east of downtown Portland. The first European to visit Woodburn was Capt. John Phillip Ross in 1828. He named it after General James K. Polk's home state, Tennessee, and his friend and mentor, Major General David Hunter Wright (1801-1880). At that time there were no roads or trails connectingPortland with Josephine County and most people traveled by boat or train to Jackson county for goods and services. In 1877 Alfred Waddell set up a sawmill on the banks of the river Rogue in what is now known as Old Town Woodburn. The millinery industry soon grew around this mill and other mills until World War II when wood became scarce due to post-war technology changes. However, production resumed in 1949 because of an increase in demand from motorboats and transportation products such as cars and trucks. In 1957 growth again slowed due to low fuel prices; however it recommenced again in 1988 when a new wind turbine farm was built near nearby La Grande Dam which provided jobs for many local residents during construction season Today Woodburn remains a sleepy community with few economic opportunities but its independent spirit has continued to thrive - particularly since 2009 when it partnered with Portland State University to create a Master’s degree program jointly designed for business administration students interested in working as entrepreneurs or starting their own businesses in central Oregon Despite its challenges, Woodburn has been able to maintain strong social ties through its volunteerism programs like Pumpkin Patch Day Parade Committee (PPDC) which annually selects an urban pumpkin patch close by so everyone can enjoy a day out together), Boy Scouts Troop 527 (whose motto is "Equality begins at home"), Girl Scouts Troop 555 (whose motto is "We are all sisterhood") and Girls varsity soccer team which plays inside Providence Park each fall .

Woodburn was founded in 1847 by John C. Wright and his wife, Lucy. The town was born from the combination of two earlier settlements, one called Woodbury and the other called Hingham. The name of the original town site is unknown, but it is likely that it was near where modern-day Oregon City now stands. When Woodburn first appeared on maps, its population consisted of just a few hundred people. By 1850, however, the town had grown to over 1,000 residents and had taken on many of the trappings of a typical American smalltown - a library, post office, store and hotel. The Wright family continued to operate their businesses until 1861 when they sold them all to J. B. King who operated them until 1875 when they were purchased by George Hinton Jr.. during which time the community underwent several changes - becoming an agricultural center before changing again to become an industrial center thanks in part to heavy investment by Hinton in coal mining and lumber production. In 1907, Woodburn became part of Multnomah County and has since undergone various growth rates - rapidly expanding due in part to its proximity to Portland (and then Seattle) as well as easy access to transportation both public and private transports including Interstate 5 and U.S.-Canada Highway 97A which would later become known as "the corridor." In recent years there has been significant redevelopment taking place within the boundaries of the town with new residential complexes being built along Hawthorne Boulevard while also developing more commercial space within walking distance of most residents' homes including a large movie theater complex situatd adjacent Topps Road which opened in late 2013/early 2014
In 1847, the towns of Woodburn and Burns were combined to form the new town of Burnside. The town was named after General Joseph E. Burney, who had fought in the Mexican-American War. The first post office was established in Burnside on May 3, 1847. In 1850, the town became a city and burned down in 1862.
