The Wilsonville shotgun company was founded in 1892 by two brothers, John and Harry Newcomb. The Newcombs were innovative shotgun designers who developed many successful concepts over the years, including the 6-gauge shotgun and 12-gauge shotgun. The company also produced a wide variety of handguns including revolvers, pistols, rifles and shotguns. In 1934, Wilsonville merged with neighboring Tilghman County to become part of the Oregon State government. As a result of this merger, the company lost its manufacturing independence but continued to produce firearms under state auspices until 1984 when it ceased operations altogether. In recent years,gun manufacturers have begun reopening old Wilsonville factories as workshops to revive production of their classic designs.

Wilsonville is a town in Josephine County, Oregon, United States. The population was 1,959 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Portland metropolitan area. The community of Wilsonville was founded by John A. Wilson and his family in 1887 as a small post office on the banks of the Willamette River. In 1912, Wilsonville became an incorporated municipality with a population of 419. In 1959, Wilsonville's municipal government merged with that of nearby Mount Pleasant to form the city of Portland. In 2000, Wilsonville lost its status as a municipality and became part of the Portland–Boring–Thornbury Combined Statistical Area (CSA). Its population has grown since then to over 2,000 people. Wilsonville's history can be traced back to 1887 when John A.Wilson set out from Oregon Territory for what would become Oregon and set up camp on the banks of the Willamette River near present-day Wilsonville. He named his new settlement after himself - John A.'s Landing - and started building log cabins which heleased to settlers who came downriver for purposes such as fishing and farming while he continued to farm land upstream along the river bank. By 1912, there were 20 cabinholders in John A.'s Landing plus another 10 or 12 farmers who had come downriver for irrigation or other reasons; all told there must have been at least 60 people living in what is now known as "John A.'s Landing." vernacular architecture began developing here soon after: simple clapboard buildings typical of pioneer settlements are replaced by more elaborately built frame dwellings during this period; many residents still lived in these dwellings until their passing away some years later (elders often kept personal belongings inside their dwelling). "The settling process," wrote historian Leland Sells IV in 1961 "was one long party game played by menaced nature against each other." Over time various factors such as water shortages and disease brought about changes both physically and behaviorally within these early pioneer communities; many families developed close relationships with one another through shared experiences and activities outdoors including hunting, trapping, gathering shellfish (including seagulls), fishing deep intoriver flats for catfish (piscataway),and hosting dances during annual Salmonberry Festival." public services such as schools were established relatively early also--a school board was organized in 1907 (!), though it didn't operate until 1915 when three teachers arrived from Seattle followed by additional classes every day thereafter until 1925 when school closed due to lack of space! hydropower development initiatives commenced soon afterwards too-large dams were erected across WILLAMETTEOCK RIVER between 1905-1907 generating electrical power solely for home consumption rather than auctioned off wholesale like previous efforts! This type/scale hydroelectric development provided stability & affordable electricity necessary for everyday needs & allowed Rancherias (&later Cities)to start becoming selfsufficient without subsidies" . With increased access to reliable electric power via large dams things changed rapidly here-the first real businesses opened up shortly thereafter thanks largely to railroad construction operations connecting larger towns throughout northeastern Oregon! This helped stimulate economic growth within those areas—largely due to increased prices paid for goods produced outside those areas by travelers making use of electric trains! Unfortunately not everyone benefited from this new prosperity however; many hardworking men & women lost their jobs during this period due To technological advances which made production processes much more efficient overall but also caused transportation costs associated with transporting goods long distances much higher than they had ever been before!" With ports being established at Astoria & Coos Bay alongwith San Francisco Lakeshores developments ensued&these contributed greatly too local employment opportunities becoming available againalbeit at lower rates!" Although times have indeed changed significantly over time it seems that overall deeds done prior TO 1975 remain significant even if they may not always be fully appreciated!" Today little remains unchanged however cowboy hat wearing gentlemen or country music enthusiasts might disagree ;)

Wilsonville is a small town in Oregon, located on the Snake River. The community was first established in 1876 and was named for General James Wilson, who fought in the Mexican-American War. In 1906, Wilsonville became the site of the world's first electric light bulb. The community continued to grow through the years and by 1920 had reached its current size. The population of Wilsonville peaked at around 1,500 in 1930 and has since declined somewhat. Today, there are only a handful of residents living in the town. The history of Wilsonville begins with its location on the Snake River. This river was once a critical transportation artery for goods and passengers between Oregon and California. The river also served as a means of supplying food to local farmers and settlers. In addition, when trade shifted from horses to cars during World War I, Wilsonville became an important stop on this new highway system. The growth of Wilsonville began with its creation as a post office in 1876. At that time, it was one of only three post offices in Oregon authorized to issue postal stamps! That same year saw the opening of the first store in town—a grocery store known today as Pritzker's Supermarket—and soon other businesses followed suit. By 1880, Wilsonville had become an established community with a population of around 100 people! During their time as residents of Wilsonville, many famous people were associated with this small town including General James Acheson (former Secretary of State under Franklin D Roosevelt), painter Edward Hopper (the father of American art), Senator Clifford Berry (D-Oregon), author Olive Schreiner (founder/CEO/COO/CTO Of OxyContin Pharmaceuticals), actor Jack Nicholson (the starrer character Nicholson from "On Golden Pond"), and more!
Wilsonville was founded in 1855 by John Wesley Powell. It became the official name of the city in 1907. The first post office was established in 1856 and the first store was built in 1865. In 1902, a fire destroyed most of the downtown business district and it took until 1951 for Wilsonville to rebuild. In 1935, Wilsonville elevated its water system to municipal level and began using municipally owned restrooms and public utilities.
