This particular pouch had been used to carry ammunition for a rifle that had been bought by Webb from an Ohio man. In 1916, a gun pouch was also located on the property of Julius Kappler. This particular pouch had been used to carry ammunition for a rifle that had been bought by Kappler from an Indiana man. Most notably, in 1947, a gun pouch was also located on the property of Florence Olson. This particular pouch had been used to carry rounds for a .357 Magnum revolver that Olson had purchased from an American armory in Europe. By 1968, it has likely become extinct within Wilsonville due to decay and destruction over time- however some examples are still extant today at local county archives around town!
Wilsonville, Oregon is a small town in the Willamette Valley of Oregon. The population was 5,811 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Portland-Vancouver-Hillsboro metropolitan area. Wilsonville, Oregon is a small town in the Willamette Valley of Oregon, located about 20 miles southeast of Portland. The community was founded in 1853 by brothers James and John Wilson. It became a city in 1907 and was named for President Ulysses S. Grant. The population of Wilsonville was 362 at the 2010 census, down from 479 at the 2000 census. The first commercial development in Wilsonville was a sawmill on the east side of the river, which produced lumber for export to Great Britain. In 1857, James and John Wilson built a gristmill on what is now SW 2nd Avenue in downtown Wilsonville. By 1860, they had also erected a school and store on SW 3rd Street. In 1868,James and JohnWilson won an agreement to buy land along the Willamette River from George Vancouver for $10 per acre (the equivalent of $183,000 today). They built a mill there which would become one of the most important mills in Oregon; it processed flour from wheat grown along the riverbank. The mill prospered until 1886 when it burned down due to faulty construction work. In 1907, Mayor Wm Husted proposed that Wilsonville be renamed "Grant City". The proposal received approval from both City Councilors and residents before being put to vote; 54% supported rename while 46% opposed it. After serving as namesake for two decades, Grant City reverted back to its original name after voters rejected another name proposal in 1959; this timekanning instead for "Wilsonville". A post office called Grantsboro was established at Grantsvill
