In Wilsonville, Oregon, gun mags have been a part of the community for over 100 years. The first gun mag in the town was opened by J.W. Richardson in 1876. Richardson was a powerful local businessman and also ran a blacksmith shop. He started to make and sell guns, ammunition, and other firearms products in his shop. The Gun Mag Association of Oregon was founded in 1916 by John Ahern and Wm Easley. The GMAO was designed to help promote responsible firearm ownership and protect Second Amendment rights within the state of Oregon. The GMAO served as an advocate for responsible use of firearms by individuals and organizations across the state of Oregon. In 1929, Patience Rankin organized the firstWilsonville Rifle Club meeting which included representatives from thirty-six different businesses in Wilsonville including dealers, manufacturers, pawnbrokers, bookstores and more! The purpose of this meeting was to organize a rifle team that could compete at local matches! This club continues to this day as one of Wilsonville’s most important civic organizations! In 1939, Julius Kapp established Kapp Gun Shop which is still open today! Julius Kapp is considered to be one of the pioneers in Wilsonville with his contributions to gun maging and sales! Today there are over 1,500gun shops active throughout Oregon alone selling all sorts of firearms products!!! There is not a specific history of gun mags in Wilsonville, Oregon, but the town has been known for its firearms and ammunition stores since around 1875. The first store was opened by Methodist priest Father George Hildebrand in what is now the business district of Wilsonville. Over time, other businesses and churches joined forces to open gun stores in the town, which helped it become one of the most important rifle and shotgun dealers in Oregon. Today, there are at least six different gun stores located in Wilsonville and its surrounding areas.
Wilsonville is a small town in the Willamette Valley of Oregon. It is located near the confluence of the Willamette and Columbia Rivers, about 25 miles (40 km) east of Portland. The population was 948 at the 2010 census, down from 1,058 at the 2000 census. The name derived from John Wilson's discovery of a coal mine in 1855. The city was founded in 1887 by farmers who had come to the area looking for new land to farm after their crops failed in nearby Salem. By 1910, Wilsonville had become a busy commercial center with two banks and several stores. A streetcar line connected the town withPortland and other neighboring towns. In 1925, Wilsonville became a city when it merged with nearby Salem. Wilsonville experienced some prosperity during World War II as businesses supplied materials for military projects around the country. However, most of those ties ended after 1945 when war-related spending decreased output and jobs in Wilsonville dried up. However, since then many businesses have moved into newer buildings or opened new locations within the city limits while others have retention properties that allow them to keep growing without interruption

Wilsonville was founded in 1853 by John A. Wilson and his wife Catharine, both of whom were farmers. The town grew quickly and soon had a population of over 100 people. In 1875, the Wilson family sold their business to Wm. H. King and moved to Oregon City, Oregon where they continued to operate a grocery store. In 1907, the King family sold the store to J.C. Phelps who operated it until 1951 when it was bought by the present company owner, C P Means. From 1951-1973, the Means family ran the store until it closed its doors for good in 1973 due to financial problems. In 1917, Wilsonville became a city and was renamed after President Woodrow Wilson as part of a program initiated by then Mayor Harry Laughlin in order to promote White Settlement activity in Oregon City which at that time had a large Japanese community (the first such community in Oregon). Today there are only fragments of Wilsonville’s past remaining; most notably is an old theater which still stands onState Street within walking distance of all of the local businesses now known as “Theatre District” Wilsonville also experienced some growth during World War II with many new homes being built inside what are now downtown streets including State Street between First Avenue and Seventh Avenue however most residents chose not to leave their homes during wartime as Boarding Houses were available for those who did not have enough money or space After World War II ended, much progress was made towards redevelopment including construction of more housing units but this too came to an end with economic recession hitting town hard in the early 21st century however recent zoning changes have seen renewed interest in revitalizing aspects of Wilsonvilleincluding increased attention given to its history currently there is active debate taking place about whether or not Reopened Theatre district should become another “deadbeat town” like Soap Lake which has seen little development over many years despite offers from developers interested in reviving that area
Wilsonville was founded in 1853 as a small Mormon farm town. The first store opened in 1854 and the first post office in 1856. In 1870, Wilsonville became the county seat of Multnomah County. In 1907, the city of Wilsonville was consolidated with other nearby towns to form the new city of Portland. The city's first mayor was Eugene Widenfeld. In 1911, the Wilsonville Civic Center was completed and is now used as a municipal library.
