The first expansion mount for a rifle in West Linn, Oregon was the Rambler Rifle Scope which was installed on a Rock River Arms bolt action rifle in the early 1990s. This scope replaced an earlier model which had failed. The Rambler Rifle Scope was designed by Rick Hennig and modification by Dick Kuntz of Raytheon Missile Systems. It featured a 3-13x50mm objective lens with a magnification range of 1-32x and offered variable focus using an adjustable knob located near the top of the lens housing.
West Linn, Oregon is a town located in the northwestern part of Oregon. The population was 492 at the 2010 census. It is home to Linn State Technical College and West Linn High School. The first European settlers in what is now West Linn were prospectors who discovered gold in 1840. Goldmining started up around this time and by 1853, most of the town had been built. The first post office was established in 1854, and it was only until 1861 when a new station called Leadville opened up on the other side of the mountain. However, both stations were abandoned within a few years because of difficulties getting through the mountains. In 1872, prospectors discovered coal and lumber along the way so townspeople decided to build a depot to take advantage of these resources. By 1880, there were already twelve stores, two hotels, three churches, two schools, and one printing press in town. The railroad arrived just as things were getting really busy with people coming for work during the rush hour; however it didn't stay long before everything became rundown again because of lack of money from investorspending on too much production from nonexistent mines. Things started to change after World War II when people got interested in agriculture instead of industry so jobs came back into town while prices went down because land became more accessible due to development projects like cattle ranching or logging that took place nearby. In 1957-1958 there was an experimental program called "Operation Mainstream" which aimed to create jobs by moving people away from cities for various stretches throughout Oregon but it didn't have very much impact as most people ended up returning home once things stopped going well There wasn't another big project like that until 2000 when Microsoft moved their headquarters here; since then things have slowly improved with new businesses being founded and prices going up again thanks to tight housing markets across the state These days West Linn has become an artsy enclave complete with galleries and craft breweries with high population densities making commuting difficult if not impossible For all its struggles over recent decades though West Linn has always managed manage to keep its sense of community alive despite some tough times

West Linn, Oregon is a city in the U.S. state of Oregon, located about 25 miles (40 km) east of Portland and 35 miles (55 km) south of Salem. The population was 34,883 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat for Multnomah County. West Linn was founded in 1851 by John McLoughlin and other pioneers who arrived from Boston and New York City. In 1900, it became a mining town with operations outfitting livery horses for prospectors who struck gold in the Willamette Valley. The gold rush ended in 1901 and many of the miners returned to their homes in Boston or New York City while others emigrated to West Linn permanently. The city has experienced growth since World War II as an agricultural center, home to large amounts of hops and cotton; however, its economy has been increasingly reliant on services such as education, transportation, and technology companies such as Microsoft and Amazon
On July 24, 1854, the town of West Linn was platted by John H. Smith and W.H. Cline. The first store was built in 1855 on the east side of the tracks near what is now the Middle School. The town grew quickly, and by 1861 there were ten businesses in the village. By 1865, West Linn had a population of 350 people and a schoolhouse. In 1868, a railroad was built through town, making it easier to get goods to market and faster to get people to work. This made farming more difficult, as transportation became an important factor in how much land could be developed for agriculture. In 1870, when Oregon became a state, West Linn had a population of 950 people and 20 businesses. The 1880s were difficult for Western Oregon becauseOf repeated droughts that caused crop failures; this also led to increased demand for trade with nearby states such as Utah and Nevada which helped supporting local industry during these times
