The city grew rapidly during World War II as demand for housing increased along with production from Boeing plants at nearby Hillsboro and Rocklin; however, after Japan bombed Pearl Harbor on December 7th 1941 Los Angeles residents were urged not to return home until their families could be evacuated; so many people left that by 1945 only 3% remained from all original EastwestLinners who'd moved into westLincnt whenever Market Street opened up again! After coming under federal control following World War II through passage of the Atomic Energy Act of 1946 which banned nuclear testing within US boundaries eastwestLinners organized themselves into what became known as "Save Our Schools" groups lobbying for more money from Washington D C to rebuild schools damaged or destroyed by Hiroshima/ Nagasaki bombings - some100 miles away! Ultimately they failed but didnt give up hope...the next big thing happened when congress created Education Department’s Office Of Civil Rights which ruled that public schools must offer programsmatic diversity which included African Americans...this finally got thruto managements attention especially because many white parents were adamantly against any minority representation whatsoever let alone black students being given opportunities like gym membership etc...so they decided to do something about it! In 1951 they erected what would become known as “the red brick building” on Main Street opposite Town Hall; this building still serves asWestLincnt’s Main Library today! Another watershed event occurred when Dr King spoke here at Pacific Lutheran University 1965 just priorto his assassination in Memphis!!! Aftermath: hundredsfilled streets outside library every day carrying flowers & pictures tributes till recently

The town of West Linn first appeared on the map in 1853. It was named after General George Washington West, who had fought in the Mexican-American War. The original settlers were farmers and their families. In 1865, the town became a post office with its own postmaster. By 1870, the population of West Linn had increased to about 100 people.
