At first he built just one shoe per day but soon began manufacturing millions of them for basketball players like Julius Erving and Wilt Chamberlain among others. By 1984 Nike had become an international brand with factories throughout the world producing sneakers for more than seventy countries. After years of development work by local residents – led by Mayor Bob Watkins – Nike Park opened in 2001 adjacent to Interstate 5 alongsidethe Willamette River near downtown Tualatin providing a large open-air plaza featuring multi-purpose sports fields including a baseball diamond/ softball field; soccer goal posts; lighted tennis courts; children’s play areas; restaurants (including Burger King); movie theaters;and retail stores selling clothing, equipment, memorabilia and other athletic items related to Nike product lines worldwide

In 1871, the U.S. government acquired land in the area now known as Tualatin, Oregon from the Klamath River Native American tribe for a military reservation. The U.S. government designated Tualatin as a town on this reservation and began to build infrastructure such as schools and churches. The town was originally named "Eugene" after Eugene Sacco, an Italian immigrant who helped found Portland, Oregon in 1853.

Gun Chokes: Get the Right Weapon to Defense Do you remember the old movie, The Godfather? In that movie, Don Corleone is able to buy a shipment of weapons from American arms dealer Ray Mabus.
