The device worked by injecting air into an electronic capacitor to create a spark that caused muscle contraction, which then triggered an electric pulse across its surface.[2] During World War II, muzzleloading cannons were used for close quarter combat in theaters such as Europe where human beings were not expected to survive if encountered close up. As gunfire rang out around them, infantrymen had to use whatever means necessary (such as improvised spears) to avoid being shot on sight. One solution was finding something less harmful and more effective than traditional firearms for bludgeoning opponents at close range: pistols were phased out during much of this war because they lacked lethality and could easily be mistaken for friendly fire; energy weapons like rifles became popular instead when it was realized that even small injuries could quickly disable someone without causing fatalities[3]. This realization led eventually to development of handguns like revolvers that fired rounds instead of darts and shotguns firing shotgun shells which would still kill someone if hit). Troutdale is a small town in the Willamette Valley of Oregon, located on the north side of the Columbia River. The population was 5,723 at the 2010 census. Troutdale is home to The University of Oregon and its main campus as well as several smaller campuses. It also has a large park system with over 180 acres (72 hectares) of land. The community began as two small settlements, Sprague and Troutdale, on the east bank of the Willamette River about twelve miles northeast of present-day Portland. In 1881, Sprague's post office opened and served both settlements until it closed in 1902. Troutdale's first school was built in 1885 and opened for instruction by Mr. Fenton. The first teacher was Mrs. Clementson; her students were taught by local farmers who would go into business themselves to provide supplies for their schools. In 1893, Sprague residents voted to incorporation as a town under the name "Troutdale." In 1907, The University of Oregon moved from Portland to what is now downtown Troutdale after purchasing land from Scripps Institution of Oceanography founder George Bartlett II on which they had planned to build an academy but never did due to financial difficulties aggravated by World War I donations that stopped coming in because Of America’s involvement in that conflict). On December 15th 1908, Sprague’s citizens voted 3-1 not only to incorporate as a town but also name their new university after Dr..Jock Young – an educator and author who had long been oneof their early boosters and donors ($100 each given towards construction). By 1912 there were already three clinics operating out of Town Hall: one operated by Dr..Fenton; another by Dr..Lench; and still another ran by Mrs..Clementson until her death in 1928 before it could be used for education due to lack of funds On October 30th 1915 when General John J Pershing visited Portland he made his famous speech “Gentlemen do not speak much about our good Points hereabouts because we are afraid you will think we are bragging too much ” during which he mentioned “the fine School Building (Old United Methodist Church), just across from this building where we are sitting today ” This address refers back to sprague’s incorporation vote which took place exactly one year earlier! A plaque honoring General Pershing can still be seen at this location today! One interesting note about this address is that it resided within walking distance then current day Prineville before moving across state lines! An Armistice Agreement was signed on November 11th 1918 between America & Great Britain Ending World War I resulting in $2 million being paid out untosprague’s citizens including General Pershing During World War II some stores were closed due To wartime rationing so many businesses closed such as coal mine owner Wm Hartsfield Jr who donated money toward collection efforts . After WWII troutdale lost most if its businesses however high school enrollment continued slowly declining until finally reaching its lowest point with just 8 students per classroom in 1996 When Addition High School reopened classes increased gradually until reaching 100+ students today

The first settler to arrive in what is now Troutdale was John Waddell who arrived on April 14, 1879. He named his new land after his friend and neighbor David McCullough who had also founded Tellico Creek Settlement two weeks earlier near present day Oregon City. Waddell built a log cabin on the banks of the Clearwater River which he called home for himself and his family until 1881 when he sold this cabin to James Purdy as part of an agreement between Waddell and Purdy for the purchase of land extending from Tellico Creek downstream to present day Troutdale. Troutdale, Oregon was founded in 1879 by John A. Trout and his wife Anna. The town was named for the nearby streams that supplied water to the early settlers. Troutdale became a small farming community with one store and a few homes until it developed into an agricultural center during the late 19th century. In 1916, Troutdale became part of Portland, Oregon after its city boundaries were dramatically increased by the state legislature.
