In 1842, Captain James Aiken started a store next door to Hogg's store and he began selling guns and ammunition. He also started manufacturing his own firearm parts. In 1849, Drury erected a building at 4th & Market which served as a hospital during the Oregon gold rush era. This building eventually became known as The Armory Annex which housed many different businesses including a blacksmith shop, an insurance agency, a grocery store and finally a smallgun factory called The Gun Makers Shop. It is interesting to note that this smallgun factory actually produced some of the earliest automatic pistols! In 1860, Major William Cushing opened up his own arms company called Cushing Rifle Works which would eventually become one of America's leading rifle companies with over 100 employees! Over the years, other entrepreneurs have also tried their hand at starting their ownGun Magazines but none have been able to keep up with Cushing Rifle Works' success story! In 1911, they moved their operations to Springfield Oregon where they continued producing top-quality rifles until 1993!

Tigard, Oregon is a city in Clackamas County, Oregon, United States. The population was 21,829 at the 2010 census. Tigard is the county seat of Clackamas County. It lies on the banks of the Willamette River and its metropolitan area has a population of 50,000+. The name "Tigard" comes from the view from an overlook over the river which can be seen between downtown Tigard and Mount Hood Park. The first European to visit what is now Tigard was Captain George Vancouver in 1792 while exploring British Columbia. He named it Point Price after his ship HMS Discovery anchored there for repairs during his voyage from China to Victoria BC. The first permanent settler in what is now Tigard arrived around 1847 when James Cooley built a cabin on land he had purchased north of present day Tigard Boulevard and east of Mill Creek Road. In 1851 John Wesleyan Methodist Episcopal Church was founded in what is now downtown Tigard by Reverends Lyman Abbott and Franklin Halsey with David Waddell as pastor. By 1870, about 60 families lived intown; 10 percent were farmers and 70 percent were workers in lumberyards, breweries and other businesses along Third Avenue south of Broadway until prohibition forced them out beginning in 1920. During World War II many Japanese people living near present-day Portland moved into rural Clackamas County so they could avoid military service; however most left before Pearl Harbor because they did not believe America would fight war on their behalf if they did not do so themselves This migration led to some heavy Japanese influences on early life patterns within town limits: schools taught primarily English while food products were mostly Americanized cookware became familiar items such as chopsticks among neighborhood kids

That year saw the first issue of what is now known as NRA's “Bibliography” magazine which contained lists of all handgun manufacturers and their products including prices and specifications on each type of weapon. It also included images/picturesof various handguns being used in shootings dating back to 1892-1920 inclusive!

In 1913 the first courthouse opened in downtown Tigard when Judge Edward Condon donated land to build it on SW First Avenue between SW Morrison Place and SW Broadway Streets In 1925 the construction of Portland-based aircraft manufacturer Douglas Aircraft began producing Model 7 Airacobras for military use atWillamette University’s North Field site east of town. That same year saw the opening of Steelworkers Hall – now known as Willamette University’s student union – across from Interstate 5 just south of town along NE 128th Street In 1936 local farmers formed a cooperative extension service called “The Agricultural Extension Service” with help from Willamette University Extension Agent Frank Junker That organization continues today as Oregon Cooperative Extension with more than 2 million members statewide On December 3rd 1941 Japan attacked Pearl Harbor resulting in World War II In 1945 local resident Harry Houdini arrived in town after escaping incarceration at Fort Leavenworth Kansas while serving time for bank robbery In 1956 local resident Ray Stevens became sheriff after winning an election against incumbent Don Hastingswick
