This type of sling allows you greater range of motion when moving around since it features multiple straps instead of one large band/clip system like pistol holsters do. It also provides increased stability since it does not rely as heavily on gravity or Velcro straps to keep its users’weapons in place(although using this type of sling can slightly increase the risk of dropping any weapons).
