One of these men was Orson Pratt, who founded The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church). In 1870, around 100 settlers from Harmony moved into what is now Sherwood when they received news that gold had been found nearby at Siskiyou National Monument! This led to an influx of people into the community over time – many of whom were LDS missionaries working here or accompanying their brethren as they traveled around America looking for new land to colonize further down the road! Sherwood experienced some growth during World War II; due in part to demand for lumber brought about by war efforts all over America! Afterward, things slowed down somewhat until becoming more active again during the 2000s through various economic boom times throughout much of central Oregon including recent re-establishment of service academies/universities just outside town proper which has caused significant job growth within town limits? Over time sherwoods residents have become more involved with local government entities such as fire protection districts etc., feeling that it truly represents their voice within society given its current boundaries?
