The Sherwood Rifle and Pistol Company was a rifle company in the Oregon Volunteer Infantry during the American Civil War. The company was organized on October 15, 1861, at the town of Sherwood by Major John T. Sherman and Captain George H. Armstrong. The company numbered eighty-eight men when it first enlisted in November 1861. By May 1862, the number had grown to ninety-four men; however, by July 1862 only thirty-six men were still with the company as of that date. On September 12, 1862, theSherwood Rifle and Pistol Company was disbanded due to lack of volunteers for its replacement unit (the Sherwood Rangers). In 1865, a new rifle company called The Sherwood Rangers was organized at Battle Ground near Portland with twenty-nine men from the old Sherwood Rifle and Pistol Company plus two new recruits from nearby Happy Valley. This organization served until 1866 when it also disbanded because no more Volunteers could be raised in time for service in the Mexican–American War.
Sherwood, Oregon is located in the Snake River Valley of eastern Oregon. The town was founded in 1877 by J.P. Morgan and named after the forest that surrounded it on three sides. The most common type of stock is leather but there are also stocks made from rubber, cloth, canvas, and other materials. trigger is another important part of a firearms system because it allows users to fire rounds without having to pull back on the trigger all the time. Trigger jobs can vary from simple pulls back into battery mode to more complex tasks such as resetting sights or cocking an action lock lever. triggers have come in both single stage (where one pull pulls all rounds downrange) and double stage (two pulls). Some guns require two hands just to cock an action lock lever while others use remotely operated triggers which sometimes requiring fourhanded control when firing multiple shots off target!

Sherwood is a small town in Lane County, Oregon, United States. The population was 1,711 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Eugene–Springfield, OR-WA Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first people to live in what is now Sherwood were white settlers who arrived in 1847. They named the community for General George Sherman, an American general who had distinguished himself during the Mexican-American War and later served as Governor of Oregon Territory. In 1868, a post office was established at Sherwood and it remained in operation until 1943. In 1907, a local irrigation system was built to help irrigate land around the town limits. The water supply came from nearby Snowy Creek and it was used by farmers until 1954 when a new pump stationwas built to bring water from Willamette River into town. Today, Sherwood still has a small population with many residents working in nearby Eugene or Springfield. Its economy depends largely on agriculture and tourism which bring tourists to see its scenic views including Mount Hood and Mount Bachelor National Park as well as experience pioneer culture within walking distance of most stores and restaurants
Sherwood was founded in 1892 by John W. Sherwood and his wife, Emma. In 1903, the Sherwoods sold their holdings in the town to Harry Hays. The town developed slowly until the late 1960s when it experienced a rapid growth as a result of the construction of Interstate 5.
