Gun magazines have been around for centuries, and in Sherwood, Oregon, they are a part of history. The first gun magazine in the area was established in 1892 by two men – George H. Hebert and John A. Bemis. The magazine was called the Beaverton Rifle Club Ammunition Supply Company and it was located at 6th and Union Streets in Beaverton. It was operated out of a small room that served as the club’s armory. The early gun magazines were important for two reasons: First, because they allowed people to buy ammunition with their own money instead of having to pay for it through merchants. Second, because they allowed people to keep their firearms safe and organized. Gun magazines also helped prevent accidents involving firearms by providing information on how to properly store them. In 1903, the Beaverton Rifle Club changed its name to the Sherwood Rifle Association and it began publishing its own magazine, called the Sherwood Bulletin. The Bulletin was published monthly and it contained information on shooting sports such as target practice, pistol competition, rifle shooting, shotgunning and more. It also featured articles about local politics and business opportunities. In 1907, the association purchased a building at 5th Avenue Northeast in Portland so that it could continue publishing its magazine there as well as offer meeting space for members to discuss issues pertaining to guns and firearm safety

Sherwood is a small town in the U.S. state of Oregon, located on the banks of the Willamette River. The population was 3,070 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Pendleton-Portland-Vancouver metropolitan area and its ZIP code is 97289. The name Sherwood may be derived from "shirley", meaning "hill or mound". The hillock may have been named for early settler Captain George Shirley, who first came to Oregon in 1844 and discovered and surveyed the area now comprising Sherwood. Sherwood was platted in 1847 by settlers John Young and his brother James Young, after they had toured what is now Walla Walla County. In 1861, local resident Nathan Sperry laid out a road through what are now parts of Portland and Sherwood; this became known as Sperry's Road. In 1865, gold was found near present day Happy Valley; soon afterward, many settlers moved into the area to prospect for gold. In 1863–1864, General Order No. 5 directed all residents of Multnomah County to leave their homes because of an outbreak of cholera; however, many people chose to stay in their settlements rather than move away from their loved ones. By 1870 most of those living around Happy Valley had departed for good when large deposits were struck at Gold Hill about 10 miles (16 km) upstream along Sperry's Road. In 1880 Elisha Gray built a sawmill on Canby Creek within easy access to water from both sides of the river which helped increase production at nearby mines such as Humboldt Gold Rush mine – today it's called Multnomah Gold Corporation Mill #4 – downstream on Canby Creek where it meets Columbia River just east of present day Portland Some early residents like Silas Potter also started farms west side creek mouth (northwest corner), outside city limits then south side creek mouth (southwest corner). This allowed people more privacy while still living close enough to see their farming neighbours' activities without going outside city limits

The first magazine-fed automatic rifles were developed in the early 20th century and became common in World War I. They required an additional round to be inserted into the magazine for firing, which limited their practical use. However, they remained a popular weapon until the advent of breechloading artillery weapons in the 1920s that allowed rapid fire without having to reload.
Oregon is known for its majestic Oregon, or Cascade, Mountains as well as for its rich agricultural history. The area that now includes Sherwood was first settled by Native Americans in the early 1800s. The town was founded on the site of a small fortification built by the Lewis and Clark Expedition in 1805. The fort was abandoned after the expedition's arrival in Oregon, and it wasn't until 1828 that a trading post called Fort Gaines was established at what is now Sherwood. During the 1830s, gold seekers began to arrive in Oregon and started to prospect for treasure along the coast. Some of these miners had been trained at Fort Hall in Kentucky, and they brought with them their own technology and ideas about how to extract gold from rocks. In 1844, an agreement was made between representatives of several American states and Mexico to sell California back to Mexico for $20 million. This deal ended up being successful because Mexican investors were able to find new sources of income while still owning part of California. With this new wealth available, many people decided to move westward into what is now Oregon. One reason why Sherwood became soimportant during this time period is because it served as a stop on wagon trains traveling eastward across country. Many residents of Sherwood worked on these wagons because there weren't any other places where they could go before they reached Oregon's interior. also during this time period sherwoods saw some significant construction activity including the building of a schoolhouse and a church which are still standing today
