In 1984 Qwest Communications Corporation moved into their original building at 5555 SW Mill Plain Rd headquarters before being replaced by their current building adjacent to Interstate 5 just south of town center (which houses both Qwest's physical headquarters as well as some retail spaces), forming one block between I-5 and Mill Plain Road across from Windows Live/Ziff Davis' downtown anchor store until that store closed down in early 2018 due to poor financial performance overall within its industry sector..
