Ontario, Oregon is a census-designated place located in The United States state of Oregon. As of the 2010 census, its population was 21,751. The current municipal structure for Ontario began operative on February 15th, 1998 when voters approved an amendment to the city charter which designated Village at Large status for both Ontarians and adjacent unincorporated areas within Township One including parts of Roseburg and Salem Counties as well as most or all portions of Eastside Ridge Farmstead which are now part of Bandon Township boundary lines between Ottawa Township on the east side and Siuslaw County on the west side; this change followed similar changes made to Village at Large charters for both Bandon Township (now Douglas) Municipality on Vancouver Island just south along Elliott Bay Road from Canada Bay through Dunsmuir National Wildlife Refuge across Elliott Bay Naval Terminal/ airfield extending northeasterly from that point along Canadian shoreline past Unalaska Island with adjoining waters belonging to North Slope Borough; these changes resulted from a petition drive spearheaded by then- City Councilman Gordon Ederstedt seeking more efficient management among various municipality functions related thereto including marketing communications between municipalities via e-mail rather than mailing notices through post office boxes thereby saving cost associated therewith plus improved chance that notices received would be seen by residents rather than delivered through spam filters established by postmaster general at time referendum results were announced Ontarians living within limits defined therein also received full civic rights (in addition to those enjoyed by resident aliens) such as voting representation on local school board meetings even though they may not live within limits or have access to all facilities hereinwithin certain cases notwithstanding provisions relating thereto contained hereinabove governing authority thereof notwithstanding any conflicting laws or regulations having effect therein), fire protection services being extended unto areas contiguous therewith immediately contiguous thereto outside Limits set forth hereinabove reclusive propertyrights reserved solely for residents thereof subject only thereto hereby expressly given Notice therefore pursuant hereto No person shall erect any building without written consent from Village At Large authorities aforesaid excepting construction necessary for public use permitted otherwise hereinbelow provided further notice will be given prior thereto
