Ontario, Oregon is a small and isolated community located in the middle of nowhere. It was founded by pioneers in 1846. The community is named after the Ontario River, which flows through the area. By 1870, there were over 100Railroad towns scattered throughout western Oregon with Ontario being one of them . After years of development, growth came to a standstill when both Canada Post (now Canada Mail)and Union Pacific Railroad merged into American Express in 1926 . This left Ontario without any mail service or commercial opportunities; however, it continued to exist as an agricultural community until 1978 when all local farms were consolidated into one large farm operation called Canadore Farms Incorporated

However, following Benson’s death in 1886 his heirs developed what became known as “Benson’s Town” policies – policies designed to increase settlement density within limits prescribed by government officials – which helped revive growth after years during which there had been little development north ofñthe Willamette River due largely to geographical constraints such as lack oland access or practical impossibility given timber resources concentrated further downriver near Bendigo/Portland
