Mcminnville, Oregon is a small town located in the Willamette Valley of Northwest America. The population was 746 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Portland-Vancouver-Hillsboro, OR-WA Metropolitan Statistical Area. Mcminnville is known for its apple orchards and as one of the most isolated communities in Oregon. The first Europeans to visit what is now Mcminnville were led by Captain George Vancouver on his HMS Discovery in 1792. They passed through this area on their way to find new land for Britain. In 1806, John McLoughlin built a cabin here and named it after himself, also naming his son John McLoughlin III (John II). In 1847, David Roberts founded a sawmill in what is now McMinnville and started shipping logs out to found towns such as Corvallis and Salem. He also began selling whisky from his distillery until it was shut down by prohibition forces in 1901. The first post office was established here on December 4, 1868; it was called "Salem." The town was incorporated on February 24, 1870; its name came from General Edwin Mudge's headquarters east of Salem where he had been ordered to prepare an attack against Indians who had attacked two settlers northwest of town that day. Mudge realized that there would be no threat from these distant Indians because they had no village near them—hence the name "McMinnville." The only mill remaining active in Mcminnville after Prohibition was closed ended production in 1951; all other mills closed between 1920 and 1951 due to technological advances which made harvesting apples more efficient than previous methods while reducing labor costs associated with field work/processing fruit products into finished items like cereal bars or candy bars etc.). Agriculture has been the mainstay of community economy since then with horticulture being recent arrivals providing jobs for local families during busy times off season when crops are not harvestable due to rain or cold weather conditions but have since faded away due largely to lack of interest among residents/workers compared to other opportunities available within commuting distance without major infrastructure investments like transportation linksages which allow easy access any time period throughout year

Oregon was admitted to the United States on July 4, 1859. The town of Mcminnville was founded in 1861 by farmers and their families who were looking for a place to settle. The town quickly became a popular stop on the Oregon Trail and soon had a population of around 100 people.
