A second tornado outbreak occurred on November 3rd which resulted in three tornadoes that touched down near the community center causing total destruction valued at $25000 dollars. In 1934, an irrigation system was installed through connection with nearby Bend which greatly increased crop production around McMinnville resulting in an increase of population from 100 to 150 people over the next few years. By 1951 there were only 8 residents remaining withintown limits while much acreage had been lost to agriculture due to depletion of groundwater resources and climate change related issues such as desertification which made farming impossible year round
