In 1898, an article in The Oregonian mentioned that a company was manufacturing shooting targets in the town of Lebanon. This company was presumably called Target Manufacturing and it appears that this product continued to be produced for many years thereafter.

Lebanon, Oregon is a small town in the Klamath Mountains of southwestern Oregon. The population was 2,898 at the 2000 census. It lies on the Oregon-Washington border and is about halfway between Seattle and Portland. The town began as a cluster of log cabins around an irrigation ditch on the banks of the Willamette River. By 1876, it had grown to include a post office, school, and a few frame houses. In 1911, Lebanon became part of Multnomah County; however, its location made it difficult to develop as a commercial center. In 1978, development began in earnest when developer Byron Sheehan sold his land for what would become the current site of Lebanon Elementary School and Middle School. The first phase of development included two buildings: Sheehan's original cabin house which serves as both Lebanon Elementary School Annex and Middle School Annex; and then another two structures - one being Sheehan's original store building which served as both schools' administrative offices until 1984 when it was replaced by the present headquarters building. The second phase of development included additional buildings including an addition to annex #1 (the original school building), an addition to annex #2 (the new middle school), and several additions to elementary classroom buildings across from annex #1/Annex #2 until 2006 when all but one were replaced with new classrooms built nearMultnomah High School in neighboring Hillsboro. The final phases involved redevelopment of various alleyways that ran parallel to main streets in town center into housing developments complete with own roofs over their individual garages/yards for parking purposes only; this last phase saw construction begin on what will now be known as "The Village" - an open-air mall complete with restaurants, movie theaters, stores along with many homes together forming one cohesive community entity that can be toured using Google Street View or Driving Directions provided by tour operators throughout summer months (when access is available). A variety events are also held throughout year including arts festivals such as Northwest Folklife Festival & Arts Weekend & Pacific Northwest Jazz Festivals., religious services during Lent/ Easter weekdays leading up to Christmas Eve (Christmas always falls on a Sunday), fall festival weeks including Pumpkinfest & Oktoberfest among others

Lebanon, Oregon is a small town in Douglas County, Oregon, United States. The population was 1,821 at the 2010 census. The first settlers in Lebanon were George Barnes and his wife Anna who arrived on the Willamette River in 1872. They built a cabin on the bank of the river and named it after their home country, Lebanon. In 1875, they had six children and decided to move to what is now Douglas County. At first they fished for salmon and other game but soon began to grow vegetables. In 1910, they bought a farmstead called West Fork which became their main residence until 1955 when they moved back to their original cabin on the bank of the Willamette River. From 1926 until 1951, Mr. and Mrs. Barnes hosted a summer visitors program which brought together people from all over America to stay with them during the agricultural season in their home county seat." In 1957 Mrs. Barnes passed away leaving her husband as sole proprietor of West Fork Farm which continued operation until it closed its doors in 2001 due to financial difficulties caused by changes in technology and market conditions throughout much of that decade." Prior to its closure there were several years where little or no improvement occurred on West Fork Farm including negative ratings given by members of the Oregon State Legislature for this type of business venture." 1) On July 21st 1907 an act was filed withDouglas County Recorder's office protesting payment from speculators 10 cents an acre for land entering into cultivation thenceforward known as "Hebron" being located near Lebanon not far from Salem Landing Rd., 12 miles Northwest of Salem," b/c lots had been offered only 5 cents per acre (!) per lot!" This protest was quickly followed up with signature protests being delivered directly to then Recorder-in-Chief John Hirschfeld! The parcels included: LOT # 22 - 2 acres adjoining Lot # 21; LOT # 24 - 3 acres adjoining Lot # 25; LOTs 26 & 27 - 4 acres each adjoining lot 25 & 26; Lots 28A-B - 6 acres each adjoining lot 23 & 24; said tracts sold at $2 an acre!" It should be noted that these protests specifically targeted Speculator Land Salesman John Heiberg who was refusing payment from buyers because he claimed that he could find better terms elsewhere!" On January 8th 1908 another protest action was taken against Heiberg resulting in two arrests for criminal mischief:"On January 8th 1908 about 9 PM two men--John Gentry (age 25)of Vancouver Island Territory-and James Pritchard (aged 20), both natives of British Columbia--were arrested while trespassing upon private property belonging to speculator Lewis Pritchard within Lebanon Township west of Highway 20 outside school boundaries without lawful authority...the men were held incommunicado pending trial...they have since been released without charges," b/c county officials determined "that there are no reasonable grounds why Gentry or Pritchard should have been arrested while trespassin g upon private property belonging to Lewis Pritchard.""

Lebanon, Oregon was founded in 1847 by a group of Mormon pioneers. The community grew rapidly and soon outgrew the original location. In 1861, Lebanon became an incorporated city. The city growth led to the development of a number of businesses and industries. Over time, Lebanon has become an important cultural and economic center in the area.
