The Klamath Falls Ammunition and Firearms Company was established in 1881 by W.H. & H.G. Fenton within the town limits of Klamath Falls, Oregon as a firearms store and ammunition factory. The company produced muzzleloader rifles, shotguns, pistols and revolvers under a variety of brand names including Winchester, Remington, Savage, Colt Detective No. 6 and many others throughout its long history. In 1916 the company became part of Pembroke Arms Corporation which merged with Browning Manufacturing Company in 1929 to form Browning-National Defense Corporation (BNDC). After BNDC's sale to Glock GmbH in 2004, all Klamath Falls products were discontinued effective December 1st 2006 pursuant to a government contract ending production at the plant that year. In 1934 the company relocated from its original building on First Street into an enlarged facility on Second Street which it continued using until 1990 when it vacated the property for redevelopment into offices and hotels.* *Klamath Falls Ammunition & Firearms Co., Inc., now known as Western Gun Workshops Inc., resumed manufacturing firearms beginning with the reintroduction of Trapdoor Rifles back in 1990

Klamath Falls is a city located in the U.S. state of Oregon, on the Klamath River. The population was 5,554 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Portland–Vancouver–Hillsborough, OR-WA Metropolitan Statistical Area. The discovery of coal and oil in 1886 by workingscrews led to town growth; mining operations continued until 1906 when all mining stopped due to pollution concerns. The area now occupied by Klamath Falls was first settled by the Kiowa and other Native American tribes who hunted game along the riverbanks. In 1853, prospectors discovered gold near present day Klamath Falls and named it after then-Governor John Cranch's home state of California (now Nevada). In 1858, two brothers named Josephine and George Hinkle established a mill at what is now downtown Klamath Falls for grinding flour for local residents and goods exported to locations such as San Francisco Bay Area and Sacramento Valley. By 1879, there were over 100 businesses in town with an payroll of $10,000 per year! Oil discoveries began in 1910 with a well drilled by Standard Oil Company No 2 which produced crude oil that was shipped downriver to Klamath Falls where it was sold off for refining purposes. The mill closed in 1916 but reopened as a restaurant that still operates today called "The Old Mill". With new production coming from shale gas Fields Exploration & Production LLC., investors purchased the mill property in late 2017 for redevelopment into an energy storage facility/storage park with associated commercial development including office space, retail shops, agricultural lands used for livestock grazing or winegrowing etc.. In early 2019 news reports surfaced saying drillers had struckcfied oil reserves totaling 3 trillion cubic feet (100 km3) beneath surface at an estimated cost of $5 billion USD! This would make it one of America's largest offshore energy projects ever completed! Klamath Falls is a city in Klamath County, Oregon, United States. The population was 26 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Portland metropolitan area. The town was established in 1875 by John C. Frémont and others as a ferry landing on the Klondike River, east of present-day Portland. A post office was established in 1876, and the town name was changed to Klamath Falls in 1886 due to its location near both Klamath Lake and Klondike Creek. The first store opened in 1888 and the first telephone line was installed in 1889. In 1901, the first electric light company arrived and service began operations that year. The city fathers decided to build their own water supply when they discovered that existing wells were not providing enough water for their needs. By 1909, Klamath Falls had a school, library, fire department and two churches–oneMethodist and one Catholic–and had become an important commercial center for the region because of its access to irrigation waters from Clackamas Lake (now Willamette River). When World War I started in 1914, many people left Klamath Falls for military service; however, most returned during World War II because there were no opportunities for military service then or afterWAR II although raised taxes led to some cutsback during that time period; nevertheless overall business increased modestly throughout those years despite difficult times with few new jobs created outside of government services until recently when oil production has lifted many local businesses back into profitability including KFalls grocery store which went public last year
Klamath Falls was founded in 1877 by the brothers Territorial Governor George Wright and his wife Christina. It was named for the Klamath River, which flows through the town. The town grew quickly, and in 1896 it became a city. In 1933, Klamath Falls merged with nearby Josephine to form Josephine-Klamath Falls.
