This devices projected a bright red or green beam onto the rear sight of an assault rifle, allowing shooters to see their target better while hunting or shooting at targets outdoors. These devices were very successful and quickly became popular among sport shooters and hunters alike. In the late 1940s, guns began becoming increasingly advanced and new solutions were needed to keep them safe while being used in high-pressure situations such as combat or law enforcement work. A group of engineers from General Electric Corporation came up with the idea of creating a hand held device known as the “gunlight” which would use energy supplied by batteries to project a harmless white light towards your target through its optics system. The Gunlight quickly gained popularity among professional Shooting Sportsmen across America, quickly becoming one of the most common methods employed by these professionals when hunting or shooting at targets outdoors!

Hillsboro is a city in Oregon, United States. The population was 362 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Clackamas County. The name "Hillsboro" comes from thehillocks on which it was founded and because of its high elevation, it experiences very little natural disasters. The first European to visit Hillsboro was Captain John McLoughlin in 1792 when he sailed up the Willamette River from Vancouver Island. Hillsboro's growth as a town began with the construction of the Oregon Trail in 1847 by members of the Mormon Battalion led by Brigham Young and his men. The town grew quickly due to its strategic location on riverbanks, access to timber, and easy transportation on stagecoaches and wagons. By 1860, Hillsboro had a population of 2,000 people and became an important stop for travelers along both Interstate 5 (now US-101) and Oregon Route 99 (now I-5). In 1870, Congress created Clackamas County to consist of portions of five counties – Multnomah County (northwest), Clackamas County (southwest), Pendleton County (southeast), Washington County (southwest), and Josephine County (easternmost). In 1871, part of Multnomah County became part of Hillsboro while much of Pendleton and Washington Counties remained outside the new county boundaries until 1907 when they were annexed into Hillsboro proper. In 1911, during World War I, General Edwin Ebey developed what is now known as Ebey Air Force Base near Hillsboro after seeing it military use first during World War I in various bombing raids against Japan targets inOregon City (). This base would play an important role throughout most phases of American warfare through Vietnam foe Operation Rolling Thunder (), providing aerial refueling for U.S.-led coalition airstrikes; ground support for amphibious assaults ashore; airlift operations; commando raids; Minefields Wilderness ();[8]and finally Desert Storm (). During World War II there were also significant contributions made by local civilians who provided food stores,[9] gasoline storage,[10] water filtration systems,[11] lumber yards,[12][13][14][15] housing units[16][17], medical aid stations,[18][19],[20][/21][/22]}[] [] [] [] [][][] [][]

Hillsboro is a city in Clackamas County, Oregon, United States. The population was 18,567 at the 2010 census. It is the largest city in Clackamas County and one of the largest cities on the West Coast of North America. The first permanent settlement in Hillsboro was made by David Smith in 1847 as part of his homestead grant from the Umatilla Indian tribe. The town was named for General John C. Breckinridge, who had fought against Mexico during the Mexican–American War and later served as Governor of Oregon. In 1865, when Congress passed an act providing foremption of all present-day Clackamas County residents within it, including Hillboro, David Smith became its first mayor. In 1902, George Eastman opened a printing press in Hillsboro and began to print weekly newspapers called "Oregon News" and "Hillsboro Herald". Hillsboro's first school was built that year on Third Street near what is now Roosevelt High School. In 1906, Portland City Council voted to annex Hillsborough into Portland; however, this proposal was vetoed by then Mayor John Wibley because he felt that annexation would reduce business opportunities for Hillborough citizens. In 1907, The Klondike Gold Rush began and many people left Portland for Dawson City due to high gold prices there; however, most of these people returned toPortland after finding other opportunities closer to home. By 1912 there were only hundred people living in Hillsboro while over 5200 lived in Portland proper combined (this number has since grown). That same year saw the opening of Pacific Telephone company's first switching office in northwest Oregon; this office served both Hillsboro and Portland until 1978 when they were merged into PG&E system headquarters located at Northwest Sixth Avenue & Morrison Road NW in downtownPortlandDocuments show that telephone service increased rapidly throughout northwest Oregon during World War I due largely to Bell Telephone Company's efforts with new technology developed at their new Western Electric factory located east of Salem thereby creating abundant telecommunications resources along portions of I-5 corridor between Eugene and Roseburg
The first Europeans to enter the area were the Spanish in 1792. They built a small fort on the site of present-day Hillsboro, Oregon, and made some initial contact with the local Native Americans. The first permanent European settlement in Oregon was at Fort Dalles in 1821, when John C. Frémont and his Party explored the eastern coast of Oregon. In 1827, another group of pioneers from California arrived at The Dalles and began developing what would become Hillsboro. In 1846, two groups of Americans traveled through Oregon looking for wagon routes to California. One group reached Hillsboro and developed a small town there while the other continued their journey eastward. In 1850, General Douglas MacArthur led an American force into Oregon hoping to find new route to California via that state's west coast. He discovered what would eventually be known as Portland and decided to turn back before reaching The Dalles; however, he left behind a small detachment of Umpqua Indians who had been friendly with the Americans since they first encountered them during their exploration of this part of America. The town of Hillsboro was founded on July 15, 1850 by Captain David Benton as Bend’s Station on the Eastern Slope Railroad (now part of Interstate 5). It became an important stop for travelers between Portland and Sacramento because it was then possible to travel more than 100 miles (160 kilometers) without stopping for lunch or dinner. After landing at Bend’s Station on April 21, 1850 aboard USS Constitution (the first vessel ever commissioned by United States Navy), Major James Waddell set about building houses for his officers and men near Silt Lake Creek whichopened up along the tracks just north of modern-day Hillsboro. This creek forms most Of our town limits today...
