The fairgrounds are open every day except Saturday during daylight hours; admission is free for everyone over 12 years old who attends one or more events inside or around thefairgrounds buildings or through public transportation systems such as buses or MAX trains service station located adjacent to them - there are also parking options available nearby if necessary!

The monument was created on July 21, 1916 by the National Park Service as part of President Woodrow Wilson'sNational Park Bill. The original site for the park was a tract of land that included present-day Hermiston and parts of Sisters and La Grande. On February 14, 1919, President Warren G. Harding designated the area around Hermiston Falls as the new park. The first visitors to the park were members of the American Legion who camped out on August 15, 1919. Herston was founded in 1887 by Captain Alfred Hermiston and his family. The town grew quickly, and by 1907 it had a population of over 100 people. In 1916, the Hermiston Shoe Company was founded in the town, and continues to be an important part of the community today.
