Gresham is part of the Salem-Keizer-Broomfield, OR Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first settlements in Gresham were made by squatters who arrived in 1868 from California. By 1890, there were three stores and a post office in the town. In 1912, Gresham had a school and two churches. A citizens' group lobbied for incorporation as a village in 1928 and it was incorporated on October 1st that same year. The population of Gresham increased rapidly during World War II with the influx of troops and their families. After the war, growth slowed but remained steady until 1970 when an economic recession caused many businesses to close or move out of town; however, new businesses began to open up in recent years and now make up most of the community's economy. Today, Gresham has a variety of retail businesses including several large grocery stores as well as restaurants, bars and nightlife venues such as The Rialto Theater which opened its doors in 1974

The higher the trigger pull, the more force is needed to fire a firearm. There are many types of triggers available, but most handguns and rifles have three main types: single action, double action, and automatic. Single Action triggers typically have one hand held while the other operates the hammer;double Action triggers require two hands; and Automatic triggers require no manual operation. The first handguns were designed in 1848 by George Stephenson with an automatic shotgun called “The gunslinger’s dream” It fired a shot automatically when you pulled the trigger. This was very successful and soon after others followed suit with similar designs. In 1857 Dr John Browning patented his own design for an automatic shotgun called “The Browning Auto Rifle” which used a lever-action system to fires rounds automatically once you pulled the trigger. From here on out, all auto shotguns would use this same system - except for some model pistols which still had manual operations (e.g., revolvers). What makes these firearms so special is their ability to shoot multiple rounds without having to reload them every time! Some people refer to this as being like owning your own gun magazine! The first autos also had high recoil which caused some people problems but eventually they became accustomed to it and loved how they felt when firing rapid shots without worrying about recoil or muzzle rise
The first trigger group to feature a pull weight of less than 10 lb was developed by Winchester in 1892. The company also produced the first automatic firearms, the Model 1892 rifle and pistol.
Gresham, Oregon (population: 43,500) is a city in Multnomah County, Oregon, United States. The population was 507 at the 2010 census. Gresham became an incorporated town in 1907. It is located on the Willamette River, about 26 miles southeast ofPortland and 18 miles north of Salem. The first European settlement in what would become Multnomah County was made by Michael Jarrell and his brother-in-law John Day in 1859 on the east side of the river near present day Gresham. They named their land Rancho Juanita after Juanita Castro who had married them both while they were working for Peter Kroeber on the rancho de los Cascos (ranch of the Cascoes). In 1870 George Lawton bought part of Rancho Juanita from Michael Jarrell and set out to homestead there with his wife Anna Maria and four children Abelardo, Ema Julia, Francisco Jr., and Lucille. The Lawtons lived there until 1880 when they moved to Salem to open a store that failed. In 1881 they sold their store and homestead to John Ayer who built a cabin there before moving it back to Gresham in 1886 when he founded what would become Ayer's grocery store which still stands today as one of Multnomah County's most successful businesses. By 1900 Gresham had grown so large that it had its own post office which opened in 1902. In 1905 it merged with nearby Buildington into one municipality under the name "Gresham". Growth continued through World War II as Portland grew further southwestward; Gresham saw an influx of war veterans and their families seeking affordable housing closer to services such as medical care and education
Gresham was founded in 1847 by Major Caleb Gresham and his family. The town had an initial population of just 10 people, but it grew rapidly due to its natural resources, such as lumber and mining. By 1860, Gresham had a population of 100 people. In 1886, Gresham became the first city in Oregon to be annexed by Portland.
