In 1984, the Grant Pass Chamber of Commerce organized a "Conversion Summit" to discuss ways to increase the capacity of local businesses. The event brought together business leaders from throughout Oregon and Washington to share best practices with each other in the conversion process. The following year, the Grants Pass Convention and Visitors Bureau developed a program called "Business Conversion Week." This series of events featured presentations on various conversion processes and helped promote the concept of conversions as an important part of marketing strategy. There are a number of high capacity conversions stories that have been recounted over the years. Here are a few examples: In 1978, engineer and entrepreneur Jack Wesson started Aluminum Data Systems (ADS) in his home office to provide faster access to data storage cartridges from vendors. ADS quickly became one of the leading providers of such products, and later expanded its business into software and services for both large-scale organizations and individual users. In 1997, ADS was acquired by database giant Oracle Corporation for $2 billion.Oracle continued to market ADS products as Oracle Storage Solutions until 2003, when it merged with EMC Corporation's SANIXI division to form EMC SANIXI Holdings plc. In 2006, Oracle sold Sanixi Holdings plc back to ADS investors for $1 billion. High capacity conversion has been an important factor in many companies' success over the years. By providing fast, reliable access to data storage products from multiple suppliers,ADS helped make data centers more efficient and cost-effective while also increasing their customer base. This allowed businesses of all sizes to increase their productivity and efficiency without having to replace entire systems - something that is becoming increasingly difficult as hard drive technology continues to evolve

Grant Pass (originally Grant County) is a small town in the extreme south-central section of Oregon, United States. The population was 1,741 at the 2010 census. The first permanent settler in Grants Pass was James Irvine in 1848. Irvine built a log cabin on what is now Main Street. By 1850, Grant County had a population of 10 people and two stores. A post office was established in 1852 and remained in operation until 1907. In 1861, the Union Pacific Railroad completed its mainline from Portland to Salt Lake City through Grants Pass; this made Grants Pass an important railroad junction and helped to spur agricultural development around the town. In 1870, Electric Light Company founder George West bought land adjacent to present day Main Street for use as a electric power generating station; this provided electricity for local homes and businesses for the first time in Oregon. The company continued to operate here until 1934 when it sold its assets to Southern Oregon Edison Company subsidiary Western Oregon Edison Company. By 1880, Grants Pass had become one of the most thriving small towns in Oregon with a population of 100 people and six stores. In 1892, headman Harry Hanks founded The Grapeseed Bank which remains one of the largest banks tears western Oregon today. During World War II, Grants Pass played an important role as an airbase due to its close proximity to Mount Hood National Forest and nearby Boeing plants; during that time it also became known as "the breadbasket of central Oregon." It wasn't until after World War II that life started changing for the town - larger factories began moving into town while jobs dried up at military plants elsewhere; however, those times have passed away and GrantPass has slowly regained some lost ground over recent years thanks largely to tourism initiatives spearheaded by Mayor Donny Maynard himself!

Grant Pass, Oregon is a city in the U.S. state of Oregon and the county seat of Grant County. The population was 28,552 at the 2000 census and it is the largest city in Grant County by population size. Grants Pass is located on the Columbia River near its confluence with the Snake River, making it a major transport corridor for goods and people between Portland, Oregon and Seattle, Washington. It also has a large entertainment district including an amphitheater and several theaters. The city of Grants Pass was founded in 1879 as part of what was then called Walla Walla County by James Doolittle, who had come from Japan to help found the country's first post office. In 1898, it became part of newly formed Multnomah County; but when Multnomah County disbanded in 1959, Grants Pass remained within Grant County until 1965 when it became its own municipality under then-Mayor Don Ritchie’s leadership. In 1996, after years of discussion and planning by Mayor Phil Anschutz, City Council passed an ordinance creating a business park adjacent to The Simpson School District which would house numerous businesses that had been struggling to find space within their districts since they were annexed into Multnomah or neighboring counties during those years of consolidation. That same year saw another milestone for Grants Pass when The Olympian newspaper announced that they would be moving their headquarters from Salem to downtown due to competition from nearby Portland's new media company—and later that year as well as 2001 saw construction begin on what would become known as Memorial Stadium—home field for both the University of Oregon Ducks football team and local high school teams such as Cashmere High School Warriors (now Diamond High School) while also hosting several concerts annually including Danish artist Gustav Holst performing at halftime during NCAA games before he moved his residency to New York City in 2006). Today there are over 190 businesses headquartered or based out of downtown GrantsPass with about 800 employees employed directly or indirectly by those companies all working together towards one common goal: To create jobs for locals!
