In 1907 Forest Grove had population of 4 people (the current population is 17,828). In 1909 forest grove post office opened and remained open until 1951 when it moved to Sistersville because there was no room for a new post office in town square surrounded by farms which had been developed since early 20th century while Post Office Square served as commercial center for all six settlements around it including downtown where only one store operated during that time period making Forest Grove an extremely market orientated city with few services or transportation options outside of walking or biking distance from everything else within 1 km radius).
