In 2006, the Eugene Rifle and Pistol Club won its second national championship with a victory over NRA’s California Division team. In 2011, they again won their national championship with a victory over NRA’s Texas Division team.

A Tube Sight consisted of three small lenses that connected directly to each other on the front side of the gun barrel. A Red Dot Scope consisted of one large lens that was mounted on top of the gun barrel and fed through an aperture at the back end. Eugene, Oregon is a town located in Multnomah County, Oregon. The population was 397 at the 2010 census. Eugene has been inhabited by humans since the early 1800s. The first Europeans to visit what is now Eugene were fur traders and missionaries who traveled through the area in search of supplies for their missions. In 1853, Congress authorized the erection of a military post at Fort Clatsop on the Willamette River, which led to the establishment of Eugene as a small town. During World War I, Eugene served as an airfield for U.S. Army Air Forces bombers and fighter pilots flying over enemy territory during World War I and II. In 1951, Eugene became home to Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL), one of America’s most important national research laboratories. The community's name comes from John McLoughlin who donated land near downtown for an agricultural college called McMurry Agricultural College in 1885; it was renamed McMurtry College after his death in 1909. The cornerstone for McMurtry College was laid on July 5th, 1886 by Mayor Saunderson and Mrs .
