Morgan & Sons until 1923 when it merged with Remington Arms Company to create what is now known as Remington products Incorporated (RPI). Dallas, Oregon is a small town in Douglas County, Oregon, United States. The population was 1,834 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Portland metropolitan area. The first Europeans to visit Dallas were traders and fur trappers who traveled through the area in search of new land to exploit. The name "Dallas" was given by one of these pioneers, James Dallas. In 1851–52, the US Army built Fort Worth on an east-west mountain range separating Douglas County from Wallowa County north of present day Portland.
