Ballantine then sold it to Adolphus Erhard who renamed it Arms & Ammo magazine company before selling it to Browning Firearms Corporation in 1945. In 1951 Browning Firearms Corporation merged with Remington Arms Company to form Browning-Remington Corpubation which became Halliburton Arms Co., Incorporated (HALCO) upon its acquisition by Iver Johnson Companies Incorporated (IJCo) in 1966. Johnson Controls divestiture led to HALCO's dissolution into eight separate companies: American Technical Industries Ltd.; Armament Research Development Associates; Bendix Aircraft Manufacturing Company; Browning Ammunition Sales Division;Eaton Air Forces munitions subsidiary Eaton Chemical Corp.; Iver Johnson Companies Incorporations Ammunition Sales Division; International Harvester Equipment Company; McKnight weapon manufacturing company palsy].

Due to its booming economy and growing population however,Dallas came under pressure from burgeoning suburbia throughout much of the late 20th century; however, recent redevelopment has created some significant resurgence opportunities for Dallas which should provide hope for continued development over time.
