Dallas, Oregon is a town located in the Siskiyou County of Oregon and is the seat of Siskiyou County government. The population was 1,811 at the 2010 census. It lies on the edge of the Jeff Davis National Forest, east of Mount Hood and south of Eugene. The town was founded in 1872 by pioneers who journeyed from Bentonville, Arkansas. Dallas developed as a small agricultural community with few industry options until after World War II when oil exploration began to occur in nearby areas such as Bechtel Canyon and Porter Rock formations. By 1970, Dallas had become an important center for light manufacturing in southern Oregon due to its location within easy access to Interstate 5 and other transportation connections. During the late 1990s through early 2000s, there were several KeyBank branches located within downtown Dallas which led to increased retail development throughout the area including an underground mall beneath Main Street that opened in 2002. In addition, another shopping complex known as Park Place Shopping Center opened in 2006 near downtown Dallas Stadium. However, commerce has since retreated from downtown Dallas as more emphasis has been placed on new housing developments such as Riverbend Ranch and Northgate Village which are situated outside of town limits

They also featured an elasticated waistband so that they could be tightened easily around the hips when needed. The Pants were first worn by competitive shooters in World War I as part of their overall uniform attire.

The town was originally built on land that later became part of Salem Township. In 1907, Dallas built its first school and post office. The first store opened in 1912 and construction began on a courthouse that same year. The town continued to grow until World War II when it lost much of its population due to military service or relocation to other towns across Oregon. Today, Dallas is home to a few small businesses and a handful of residents who continue to live there during the summertime for business purposes only
The first Europeans to visit Dallas, Oregon were the Spanish in 1821. The area was then known as Willamette Valley and was part of the Mexican Empire. In 1848, the United States acquired Oregon from Mexico and renamed it for George Washington. The town of Dallas was founded in 1850 by fur trappers and settlers from California. By 1870, Dallas had a population of about 100 people. The town developed into a small agricultural community that produced wheat, oats, corn, and other crops. In 1915, Dallas merged with nearby Glendora to form the city of Glendora-Dallas.
