Central Point is a small town in Oregon, United States. It is located on the Columbia River waterfront and has been inhabited by Native Americans for over three centuries. The first white people to set foot in Central Point were prospectors who arrived in 1847. In 1860, the town was founded as a result of a land deal between the United States government and the Central Pacific Railroad Company. The town was incorporated in 1887, and it became an important center for shipping and trade during World War I and II. After the war, Central Point transitioned into a sleepy agricultural community until the arrival of entertainers like Elvis Presley in the late 1960s made it an overnight sensation. In 2007, Central Point was named one of twenty towns worldwide selected to join the city of Portland as part of its downtown revitalization project. Today, Central Point is home to several popular businesses including Walmart, Kmart, Best Buy, Costco, Biltmore Estate Resort & Spa and many more.

This type of holster is designed more for people who don’t want to carry their handgun openly around their person like with a W waistband holster . It's very similar to an ankle beltHolster except instead of having two straps running from your hips, these holsters have one strap which runs across your chest just below where your breasts meet (or if you're female, around her navel). When you remove your pistol from its holster, all of this slack will be eliminated so that access to both sides of the pistol is easier than with a W waistband Holster . Central Point is a city in Multnomah County, Oregon, United States. The population was 7,564 at the 2010 census. Central Point is home to the University of Oregon and the Portland Trail Blazers NBA team. Central Point was founded on December 12, 1877 by businessman John W. Weeks as Central City. The name came from a central location near the confluence of the Willamette and Columbia Rivers. In 1915, Weeks donated land for what would become Central State College (later UO). The city first annexed parts of Ormsby Township in 1924; however, Ormsby Township never ratified annexation until 1957. In 1951, Central Point Annexation became effective when all of Multnomah County became official. The original town site included only one block; however, with growth in Central Point and nearby Beaverton and Hillsboro it soon became apparent that an urban center was necessary to support increased commerce and population growth. On October 10th 1907 the City Council voted 3-2 to annex unincorporated areas east of Fourth Street along the riverbank between Fifth and Sixth Streets - this annexation created what is now known as North Park Blocks 1-3 (now part of Burnside Neighborhood). North Park Blocks 4-6 were annexed in 1908; these blocks formed today's Southpark Blocks 1-3 (now part of West Burnside Neighborhood). In 1914 when John W. Weeks donated land for what would become Central State College (later UO), he also provided funds for its construction which began on May 15th 1915 under then Mayor Jens Petersen Studiosmiths administration with a groundbreaking ceremony presided over by then Governor Eugene Talmadge Drury on July 5th 1915 at 9000 Swenzer Ave NE adjacent to his old business office building which had been built shortly before his donation as well as two other buildings on Third Avenue.. The college opened its doors on September 20th 1920 with 64 students enrolled from 11 states including Washington D C . Over time many prominent people have come through Central POINT such as: Eugene Talmadge Drury (Governor 1925 -1929), Harry S Truman (President 1945 -1953), Warren Harding (Ulysses S Grant 1893 -1968), Lloyd Bentsen(Speaker 1979 -1981)and Don Corliss(Governor 1989 -1991). There has been much development around town but much still needs to be done such as: roads/arteries/pipelines being built including I-5 & I-84 interchange project; new schools being built including Newport Middle School & Fishtrap Elementary School; new businesses being started including REI & Nike stores etc... Today there are more than 6000 residents living in Central point making it one ofOregon's most vibrant cities

Central Point is a town in Butte County, Oregon, United States. The population was 1,869 at the 2010 census. Central Point is one of the few towns in Oregon where both English and Spanish are spoken. It was founded by Mormon settlers in 1853 as Central Station on the Snake River. The town first grew around the Central Pacific Railroad depot, which served as a stop for travelers heading west to California and Nevada. When the railroad was abandoned in 1958, Central Point slowly lost its importance until it regained it when the Interstate 5 freeway was built through Butte County. Today, Central Point is a small but vibrant community that features restaurants and shops, as well as a library and art gallery.
The Central Point area was historically a part of the Snake River Indian Reservation. The United States government granted the reservation to the Snake River Sioux in 1868. The reservation expired in 1924 and was sold to the Oregon Territory. In 1878, the United States bought land from the Indians at Central Point for $7,500. The U.S. Army built Fort central point on the site in 1879-81 as part of an effort to secure access to irrigation water supplies in the area. In 1913, Oregon Statehood was granted to Oregon and Central Point became part of the state boundary. The fortieth anniversary of Oregon Statehood is celebrated each year in Central Point with events including a parade andfestivals.
