Inc., and Deloitte LLP[22]. The city has also become known for its annual "Bend Festival", which features art exhibitions, music concerts, food festivals and bicycle races.

By 1830 they had established about seventy homes around what would become downtown Bendigo (now within Bendigo's boundaries). The first post office opened in1831, but it did not serve much purpose because there was no railroad nearby and mail had to be carried downriver several times a day on foot or horseback then hauled overland back upriver again each trip due to rapids and dangerous highways crossing the Deschutes River at that time! The first mill built here on the Deschutes River was built by John Day with power provided by an old sawmill upstream owned by David Wilcoxson which he rebuilt using local logs taken from nearby Mount Hood timber resources during winter months when available." With this new mill Wheelwright began making flour which could be shipped downstream for sale or consumption right at home before being stored for later use." This early mills gave rise to one idea which eventually led to modern day business opportunities: Why not build our own water system? And so Wheelwright Hydraulic Works Inc., founded March 5th 1861 completely self-sufficient!!" Today we still produce flour here!
