In the early 1800s, Bend was a small town in Oregon. It was home to a handful of farmers and their families, and the Gunsmith Shop on High Street was the only store in town. The Gunsmith Shop sold firearms, ammunition, and other gun-related supplies. One of the owner’s sons, John Tisdale, started selling t-shirts in Bend in the late 1800s. His shirts were designed to promote handgun safety and shooting sports. In addition to sales at The Gunsmith Shop, John also operated two other businesses: A Sporting Goods Store and A Pistol & Ammunition store. John’s t-shirts became popular amongshooters throughout Oregon and Southwest Washington. They featured NRA insignia on the front and back panels, as well as images of handguns or target ranges. Some of John Tisdale’s favorite customers were old men who loved taking care of his guns while they smoked cigars outside; these guys would often buy several shirts from him each week! Sadly, after John passed away in 1924, his son Harry took over running The Gunsmith Shop until he too passed away in 1951. But even though Harry had no children to take over the business (he died unmarried), his shirts continue to be popular with shooters around Bend today!

Bend, Oregon is a small city in the U.S. state of Oregon, located on the Deschutes River. The population was 7,857 as of the 2010 census. It is the county seat for Wasco County and part of the Bend-Redmond, OR Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first settlers to live in what is now Bend were Native Americans who had been living there for centuries before that time. European exploration began in 1805 when Captain George Vancouver explored British Columbia and charted a course that would lead to Portland, Oregon. He noted that the Deschutes River flowed east-west and he named it after Prince Rupert of Canada who had led an expedition down that river in 1804-5. In 1826, Juan Bautista de Anza set out from Santa Fe with 11 men to explore California and discovered Portland about 100 miles (160 km) south of where Bend now stands. In 1847, fur traders founded the town of Corvallis on the Deschutes River opposite present day Bend because they wanted to get goods bound for China overland rather than shipping them through Seattle which at that time was experiencing heavy traffic due to gold discoveries in California. The first post office opened in Corvallis on February 2nd, 1850 Oregon became a state on January 3rd, 1851 and Benton County was created from parts of Wasco and Josephine counties

The town became a railroad center after the Central Pacific Railroad built a line through the region in 1870. The population of Bend increased from 2,500 to 25,000 during its heyday as an agricultural and mining town. The economy declined during World War II due to rationing of food and materials; however, it has since revived with the growth of technology jobs.
