During World War II, AGW produced military uniforms for both United States forces and The Allies. These outfits were often colorful with patriotic slogans on them; examples include: “I am an American gun owner!” or “My weapon saves lives!” After the war ended, AGW transitioned into civilian production however their arms division continued to produce military grade weaponry until 1957. In 1965-1966 AGW collaborated with The Israeli Weapon Manufacturers Corporation (IWC) to create a line of assault rifles called El Alamein that were exported worldwide. IWC later purchased majority ownership shares from AGW in 1978 but maintained some rights to produce these guns domestically under their own name until 1990 when all production stopped altogether due to technological advancements within handguns making them more difficult to replicate abroad than ever before. Throughout its long history at least 50 different firearm manufacturers have entrusted their weapons Manufacturing Division with designing or producing clothing specifically for use with their products; many of these firms remain active today thanks to partnerships formed during wartime or after peace had returned home (e.g., NRA/Bend Armory). Bend, Oregon is a small town in the Siskiyou Mountains of Southern Oregon. It was founded in 1887 by settlers from eastern Washington and is located on the banks of the Deschutes River. The town has been enlarged several times since then, most recently in 1941 when it became a city. Bend's history begins with the arrival of pioneers in 1887. Many of these early settlers had come down from Washington state to find new land to settle after years of exploration and wagon travel. Among those who first arrived were James Wickersham and his family, who set up a homestead on the present-day corner of 4th Street and Center Street. Wickersham was one of many pioneers who decided to leave what they considered an unhealthy environment back East – Bend was actually quite healthy for its time! Over time, Bend began to grow quickly thanks to its location at the heart of gold country. In 1911, when Bend became a city, it boasted over 20 businesses including two banks and two insurance companies. Over time, business growth led to increased traffic congestion which caused problems for both Mayor John Cavanaugh and City Manager Clarence Upson; however, this didn't stop Bend from becoming one of Oregon's most vibrant communities! Today, bend continues to be a welcoming community with strong cultural ties to its neighboring states as well as international visitors!
