This firearm was able to shoot four rounds per minute and it was very effective at stopping enemies from attacking people or animals. However, this weapon had some limitations such as its high cost and weight. With technology like these, shooters began to develop methods of protecting themselves from gunfire. In 1865, Captain George Armstrong developed a system that would help protect soldiers from gunfire while they were on duty. He called this system “Armstrong’s Law” and it helped protect soldiers by keeping them behind cover while they fired their weapons. This law is still in place today and it is responsible for saving many lives during wartime
