The early days of Gunnar Myrdal’s article saw a surge in production due to new regulations put into place after the Oklahoma City Bombing on April 20th,. Many businesses closed due to increased safety concerns following that event which left many Americans without access to their firearms. However, Gunnar Myrdal was able to reviveGun manufacturing with help from his friend John Trousdale who had moved to Portland from Norway just prior to this time period (Trousdale would later found AR15 Inc., one of the leading rifle manufacturers today). After months of work and some key investments from friends and family members within Gunnar Myrdal’s community (including his father),the first run offshoot company called “Murdoc Brothers Firearms” was born on November 5th 1935 with three employees: my dad (Gunnar), Håkan Sundman (Johan) and Per Andersson (Peder). The company produced pistols until 1978 when it merged with another company named “Oregon Arms Corporation” This merge allowed both companies more access to resources such as raw materials; however it also spelled doom for Murdoc Brothers Firearms as Oregon Arms Corporation went bankrupt not long afterwards leaving Gunnar Myrdal out on a limb once again trying to start his own business.. This lack of success finally caught up with him when he lost his job at an ammo storenearby after quoting prices too high for what he received from Oregon Arms Corporation; however this wasn't all bad news as even though Gunnar couldn't get started on starting his own business again he did manage to win approval from the cityofPortlandto build an indoor shooting range inside city limits! This range would eventually become one of the most popular shooting venues among local residents across different age groups thanks largely thereto Gunnars commitment towards providing quality customer service along with competitive pricing!
