Some believe that Hickey may have been the first person to use target holders as shooting platforms altogether! In 1827, John Waddell opened his business in what is now Pioneer Square in Albany. This business became known as Waddell's Arcade because it served as a place where customers could buy goods related to Shooting Sports (Target Holders included). Waddell franchisee Elisha Goodrich soon began selling target holdersdirectly to consumers! By 1830, Target Holder manufacturers had become quite popular throughout much of America due to their sturdy construction and easy-to-use features. After years of decline, Target Holder manufacture recommencedin1843 under new ownership by Ayer & Bean Incorporated . During this time period, Ayer & Bean made heavy investments into research and development in order to improve upon their predecessors' products! In 1850, Ayer & Bean Corporation merged with another company named Western Manufacturing Company which also manufacturedTarget Holders . This merger resulted in the establishment of Western Manufacturing Company Industries , which continued making Target Holders until 1893 when it merged with Philadelphia’s Bethlehem Steel Corporation . Finally, by 1897 Western Manufacturing Company Industries had ceased operations entirely!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Albany, Oregon is a community located in Clackamas County, Oregon, United States. It is the smallest municipality in Clackamas County and is one of the most remote communities in the county. The population was 1,948 at the 2010 census. The town was platted on December 12, 1898 by members of the Albany-based Cascade Mining Company. The company had been organized two years earlier and had become interested in locating a potential gold mine in what would then be known as eastern Oregon. A post office was established at Albany on February 11, 1899. The name of the town honor General James Kipp (1807-92), an officer during the Mexican–American War who later served as governor of California. The first store opened in Albany on May 3, 1899. The store was operated by J H Neuman and his brother Jacob Neuman until it closed around 1920 due to lack of business investment from other investors. A sawmill commenced operations near present-day downtown Albany shortly after it opened its doors; however, this mill stopped production due to low ore grades and competition from larger mills nearby which began opening up within a few years of its inception. In 1902, construction began on what would eventually become University Avenue; this arterial road became one of the primary shopping corridors for residents in central Albany following completion of muchneeded infrastructure projects such as school annexes along University Boulevard and Highway 97B during that decade including plans for a new library and water supply system that were funded by bonds issued by local businesses throughout Clackamas County including those owned by Albany merchants themselves! “It has always been my idea to establish some kind of educational institution hereabouts so that our intelligent people can get their education without having to go off into all these faraway towns or cities where there are no schools open to them...We realized that we couldn’t build anything like this ourselves if we wanted it done right – so we solicited help from some friends among ourselves and they did just fine! Albany, Oregon was founded in 1853 by George Stephenson and his wife Catharine. The town was named for the Albany, New York Chain of Lakes. The name changed to Albany in 1892 and again to Albany in 1916. During its history, Albany has been a small rural community with a population of around 100 people. In 1969, the town became an unincorporated community when the city of Salem annexed it. The first settler in what is now Albany was John Crouse who arrived during the winter of 1851-52. He built a cabin on the north side of the Siuslaw River which he named Crouse's Fort. Crouse's Fort served as a trading post until early 1853 when he abandoned it due to lack of food and water sources. In 1854, George Stephenson came across another group of pioneers who had also established themselves near what is now Albany. Stephenson offered them land on the east side of the Siuslaw River which they took up and named their new village after him, George Washington Village or Gwendolyn Township (home today to about 60 people). Algonquin County was formed from part of Oregon Territory on January 1, 1850 under territorial governor David Steuart.. On July 15th 1861 Gov Edward Everett appointed Ayer Wiggin as Auditor General for Oregon Territories.. After being speaker pro tempore in both houses from 1865-1868 he resigned effective February 14th 1870 to become Ulysses S Grant’s Attorney General.. On November 3rd 1870 Ayer Wiggin returned as Auditor General for Oregon Territories but died two weeks later on December 5th at age 46 while traveling home from taking care of sick family members near Jacksonville Oklahoma Territory.. It is said that Ayerwiggn may have been poisoned by someone working for Grant although this theory has never been proven.. In 1865 Ayerwiggns successor Jens Jensen married Anna Modjeska who would later become Queen Victoria’s consort and motherof President Franklin D Roosevelt’s Children.. In 1870 James Pogue left Portland Oregon rather than run for office against annexation by Salem because he did not believe that incorporation into a larger city would be good for either party or economy; he instead started practicing law in Seattle Washington where he would stay until his death in 1907 . Albany experienced rapid growth following its incorporation into Salem however due largely torailroads coming through townspeople began buying lots along Railroad Avenue which became known as “Rockefeller Boulevard” after oil tycoon Andrew Rockefeller bought one such lot in 1906 . Over time some businesses moved out but others flourished thanks to easy access to railroad tracks, markets and other resources . From 1916 until 1969 when Salem annexed it, Albany had no mayoral elections or representation within any statewide government save United States Congress where residents were represented through representatives elected directly through popular vote; this system continued until 1975 when state representative Jane Harman won electionaturge without running because she received more votes than any other candidate statewide
