During post-war years until 1955 when statehood was granted to Oklahoma (the first such event after Oklahoma Territory was created), Woodbury had continued to grow rapidly annexing smaller towns along its way including Ratliff (#2) which incorporation took place on January 1st 1956 followed by Murchison (#5). Between 1957-1965 all but four other towns either annexation or incorporation took place with Kenosha (#6), Muskogee (#7), Nowata (#8) and Ponca City (#9) joining forces under one roof as part of a larger trend across much eastern Oklahoma during that time frame known as “The Oklahomans” which saw integration into American society take hold despite some initial resistance from certain segments within society towards change/ newcomers( particularly African Americans). It should be noted that although annexation/incorporation rates varied greatly between different areas within Tulsa proper during this time period( ranging from about 50% for Muskogee Municipal District #3 annexing 5 other districts combined before becoming Tulsa proper )it can be said with certainty that much like mostOklahoma communities during those years prior thereto - woodworth's rapid growth primarily stemmed from increased demand from military members stationed nearby or even overseas rather than any inherent assets or advantages possessed by its location specifically
