Scope mounts have been a integral part of firearm enthusiasts for many years. The first scope mount was made in Woodward, Oklahoma in the early 1920s. At that time, there were not many firearms available with scopes and mounting hardware available. Consequently, smiths had to design their own mounts to accommodate different types of rifles and shotguns. Scope mounts became more common during World War II as war-time production increased. Many people believed that scopes were only for targets and did not need to be used with handguns or rifles. However, this belief was wrong!Scope mounts are now commonly used on most firearms including handguns and rifles. Woodward began producing firearms in 1907 and continued manufacturing until 1937. During that time, they produced over 100 different models of firearms including pistols, revolvers, shotguns, and rifle sights. In 1937, the company was sold to German manufacturer Hecht Hauser AG and continued manufacture under that name until 1949 when they reverted back to Woodward Firearms Corporation

Scope mounts are a type of mounting device used to attach a scope to the barrel of an firearms. Scope mounts usually have two tabs that fit into corresponding holes on the rifles barrel and allow the scope to be attached in any position between vertical and horizontal. There are many different types of scope mounts available on the market, each with its own advantages and disadvantages. It is important to choose the right mount for your rifle before purchasing it, as there are several factors you should consider including: -The height at which you will want the mount placed—for example, if you plan to use your rifle in off-hand mode, then higherMounts may be necessary; -The angle at which you will want the mount aimed at—this can be determined by reading charts or using a watch; -What accessories (such as headphones) will need to be attached to the mount in order for them to function properly; -How much weight (and therefore recoil) your firearm will require to accommodate for a particular mount type.

The Woodward, Oklahoma History Center has an extensive collection of museum artifacts and documents related to the history of Woodward and its surrounding communities. The center's collection includes items from the early days of Woodward when it was a post town in 1847, to the present day when it is one of the fastest growing cities in Oklahoma.

Woodward is a small town in the heart of Oklahoma. It has always been a center of activity, and its citizens have played an important role in the history of the state. The Woodward community was founded by pioneers in 1881, and it has always been a center for trade and commerce. The town has also been home to some of Oklahoma's most famous residents, includingOklahoma City Mayor George W. Romney and columnist Bob Woodward. In recent years, Woodward has seen increased development, as jobs have become available in the nearby city of Oklahoma City. However, much of Woodward's historical significance remains intact, and it is still an important place to live and work.

Scope mounts were first developed during World War II as a way to improve the accuracy of firearms. The original scope mounts consisted of a metal plate that was affixed to the barrel, and an adjustable ring that allowed the user to adjust how far back or forward the scope could be aimed. During the early days of Scope Mounts, there was no standardization within the industry, so different manufacturers produced their own versions of these mounts. As time passed, more and more firearm manufacturers began introducingscope mounts into their products. At one point, Scope Mounts accounted for 50% of all firearm sales in America. As scope mounting became more standardized, it became possible for shooters to purchase much better quality mount systems from various manufacturers. Today, ScopeMounts are still a popular choice among shooters around the world because they offer excellent value for money and provide high-quality results.

In the 1920s, a new technology called Expandable Scope Mounting was developed. This technology allowed firearms to bemounted in more than one location on a rifle or shotgun. The mount could be expanded to accommodate different guns and optics.

Woodward was founded in 1907 by W.P. Woodward and his cohorts, George P. Culp and James M. Ferguson. The town became a center for oil production in the 1910s and early 1920s with its discoveries of oil fields in the Beaver Creek, Hillsboro, and nearby formations. In 1919, Woodward elected its first mayor, Joseph Hickenlooper. In 1933, Woodward merged with neighboring city of Ponca City to form the larger city of Oklahoma City. During World War II, Oklahoma City was one of the most bombed cities in America with over 60 bombings between 1941 and 1945 alone. The bombing destroyed many businesses and homes within the city limits and led to the death of at least 36 people as a result of bombings in downtown Oklahoma City alone during that time period (Boyd et al., 2016). In recent years, Woodward has seen an increase in development activity as it becomes one of the fastest-growing cities in central Oklahoma (Civic Progress Foundation). This growth has led to increased population densities –currently around 985 people per square mile– which have made it difficult for some residents to access essential services such as public transportation or water supplies (Oklahoma Department of Transportation website). Despite these challenges, Woodward has seen significant progress over recent years through its initiatives such as reclamation projects such as Lakeview Park; establishment of community centers; growth in entrepreneurship; partnerships with local universities; and support from state government

for scopes Scope mounts are a must for any rifle enthusiast. There are so many different scope mounts on the market that it can be hard to find the perfect one for your weapon. Scope mounts come in a variety of shapes and sizes, so you'll need to choose one that is specifically designed for your rifle. Here's a breakdown of the most popular scope mount types: Aperture Mounts: These mounts allow you to rotate your scope around an axis perpendicular to the bore axis. This allows you to see more detail in your target because all of your incoming light will be focused on the center of the target instead of scattered around the periphery. The downside is that these mounts are not as versatile as other types of mount, and they require special tools to install or remove them. SLR-mounts: These mounts allow you to rotate your scope around an axis parallel to the bore axis, which gives you more flexibility when using magnification levels higher than 8x or 10x since all incoming light will be focused at once on the centerInsteadof scattered aroundthe periphery. A good option if you're looking for an aperture mount with high magnification levels but don't want something with lot of versatility like an SLR-mount would have. The three main types of riflescope mounting systems are Weaver Style, Mil-STD 1913 Style, and PicatinnyStyle (see table below). Weaver style mounting systems use two screws through each side onto aPicatinny rail system and use various adapters depending on what type of rifle optic you have such as mil-STD 1913 style rifles where there is only one screw placement per side and NATO stocks do not accept picatinny rails (these days). mating can also be done by using aftermarket mounting kits which usually include both screws and adapters though this sometimes requires some extra work from novice shooters who may not know what they're doing
