In the early 1900s, Weatherford was a small town in Oklahoma. It was known for its gunsmithing and firearms industry. One of the earliest businesses in Weatherford was a shop called The Gun Cleaning Kits Company. The company made cleaning kits for various guns, including revolvers and shotguns. The Gun Cleaning Kits Company was founded by two men, Hiram Barnes and Addie Wolkiewicz. They started the business in 1904. The company soon became well-known for its products. In 1917, they opened a store in Tulsa, OK. The store sold cleaning kits and other firearms supplies. In 1918, they moved their business to Weatherford, OK. The Gun Cleaning Kits Company continued to make high-quality products until the late 1960s. By that time, it had become a subsidiary of Sears Roebuck & Co., Incorporated (ESR). ESR sold the company to Rheinmetall AG in 1969. At that time, Rheinmetall merged with Krupp AG to form Europe's third largest steelmaker—the biggest such merger ever at that time! The merger led to the closure of many of ESR's manufacturing plants worldwide! However, the Gun Cleaning Kits Company still exists as an independent family-owned business today!

The first inhabitants of Weatherford were Creeks and Seminoles who lived along the banks of the Arkansas River before migrating to what is now Noble County in 1836. In 1865, a post office was established in Weatherford and remained open until 1907. During that time, the community grew rapidly thanks to its location on US-87 just south of Muskogee City. By 1900, Weatherford had a school and two churches. The population reached 2,000 by 1910 but declined to 1,998 by 2000 due to factors such as rising energy prices and other economic hardship in nearby towns. However, weather has been an essential element in the town's history - even today many people live close to where they work or attend school because it's easy access to rain or sunlight for agriculture or industry. One reason why weather has always been so important in Weatherford is that it has been one of the most reliable sources of rainfall for much of its history; during years with heavy rains (e.g., 1915-19), water seeps deep into Andes Creek which forms the town's main water supply; this creek then provides most of local water needs through reverse osmosis and other means without polluting groundwater supplies elsewhere in Noble County. A lack of rain does not mean lack of agriculture - many families grow corn, beans, tomatoes etc., using irrigation from wells located some distance away; however these same wells also provide drinking water for about half a dozen homes within walking distance from each home). 3) One reason why oil exploration and production have played such an important role in this community is because there are three large oil fields located within a radius around Weatherford- ChapmanFields 4th field (OKD 825/27 mile east side), Holmes Field 3rd field (OKD 830/24 mile north side), and Wellston Field 9th field (OKD 840/27 miles northwest side). These fields are all adjacent to existing surface landmines created when subsidence caused by oil production occurred more than 100 years ago!

These devices quickly gained widespread usage during wartime as they proved themselves effective at removing build-up from many types of firearms including pistols and shotguns.
