In 1907 Tulsa experienced its first tornado outbreak which killed four people and injured thirty-six others after touching down near West End Avenue and Levelland Road about 2:00pm CST on Sunday October 25th (the worst natural disaster in Tulsa history). This event was also one of two severe tornadoes to hit central Oklahoma during World War I – both EF0 Tornadoes touched down near Norman between 1918 and 1919 – leaving $2 million damage overall. As part as partaking in celebrations for World War I veterans Memorial Day weekend 1916 through 1918 (the first time Oklahoma cities honored WWI veterans with parades), Tulsans erected large American flags at various intersections throughout downtown including Union Hall Park where today’s Main Street meets Central Park Drive – opposite currently home to Paintsville Mall! The 1920s saw some key changes take place within Tulsan society as women gained access to education and many became prosperous entrepreneurs; this period is generally considered as being “the golden age” for Tulsan businesswomen. In 1927 Tulsan political activist Clements Damon started what would become known as “The Democratic Party” Committee headquarters at 705 E 4th St., later renamed “Clements Damon House” after his death in 1971; this building still stands today adjacent to main library complex across from courts complex across from Convention Center Complex… During this era prominent Tulsans such as Mrs.Edna Karr drew attention to civic problems such as lack housing opportunities for African Americans while other issues received little or no media attention until more recent times following major local events or controversies like Operation Gatekeeper involving police brutality against black citizens dating back several years prior! A total economic collapse known as "The Great Depression" struck America's Rust Belt area beginning in 1929 followed by nationwide Dust Bowl conditions which impacted rural families especially those living outside urban centers particularly those dependent upon agriculture jobs; however due largely to government policies supportive OFOP livestock operations began experiencing rapid growth especially during 1930s oil boom decade leading directly to catastrophic dust storms along Arkansas & Texas border areas lasting weeks & sometimes months & devastating losses including loss or wiping out entire ranches
