Tahlequah is located in Oklahoma, and the city was founded in 1867. The area that Tahlequah now occupies was first populated by the Kiowa, who were the original inhabitants of this part of the country. In 1889, a group of white men from Texas came to this area looking for land to settle. They founded what would become known as The Territory of Oklahoma. One of the first things these men did was purchase some land east of Tahlequah and build a house named The Rancho Viejo. This rancho had a small schoolhouse on it, which served as a training ground for young Native Americans who were coming to live in this area. The Territory of Oklahoma soon became very important because it contained all of present-day Tulsa County and parts of Osage and Kay Counties. It also contained muchofthe territory that is now Jackson County and Haskell County. As time passed, more people started moving into this area and more businesses were established here. One such business was The Rancho Viejo Hotel which stood until around 1915 when it burned down due to an arson attempt by local teens. In 1907, one Mr. Harry Henson purchased some additional land east of Tahlequah and built another house known as the White House on it. This house would serve as Headquarters for the Indian Affairs Department during World War I which made Tahlequah very important for military purposes at that time because many soldiers stayed here while they fought overseas. After World War I ended, many troops returned home, but since most areas in OK had been re-established as urban areas after the war, most military members left again within a few years once their service obligation expired or they decided not to stay in OK any longer than necessary due to changes happening within society at that point (e.g., ending prohibition). In 1927, General Motors began manufacturing cars here in what would become known as GMtown (later called Tahlequah). Seibert Aircraft Manufacturing Company moved from Battle Creek MI in 1922 to begin making planes here too before eventually being bought by Raytheon Aircraft Corporation in 1958 (which later spun off into Northrop Grumman). During these early years there were only two types of aircraft manufactured: bombers and transports/light bombers (i.e., fighter jets today). However, over time other types have been produced including helicopters! This period also saw various changes take place within town itself with regard to its demographics with people increasingly moving away from agricultural work towards services like education or technology jobs outside town altogether beginning around 1960 although there are still some families involved with farming/livestock production today albeit smaller scale operations among them.)

Over time, new residents have also rallied around preserving traditional values such as agriculture and meat-packing among other things that make up their cultural heritage; these have been increasingly successful given recent changes brought about by globalization which have impacted many industries within OKC geographically speaking
