Sapulpa is a small town in Oklahoma, located in the panhandle of the state. The population was 1,541 as of the 2010 census. The name "Sapulpa" was given to it by an early settler and means "place where the water is sweet." The town was founded in 1911 by J.W. Morrow and Fenton Wagoner on land donated by Harry Carver. Sapulpa's history can be traced back to that time as well. In 1912, Sapulpa became the second incorporated town in Oklahoma after Muskogee and soon afterwards began hosting events related to its growing reputation as a cultural and educational center for Oklahomans from all over the state. The years that followed were filled with success for Sapulpa as it continued to grow and develop into one of Oklahoma's most popular tourist destinations. In 1969, it became part of the Tulsa metropolitan area when Tulsa annexed much of east-central OKC including Sapulpa. This acquisition made Sapulpan one of Tulsa's most thriving neighborhoods with many businesses moving into its boundaries along with an influx of new residents who started their own businesses hereabouts. It wasn't until 1997 that sapu·lap·a·sha·ni·ta (Oklahoma Spanish: "town built on a stream") caught on among locals as an official name for the community - first used during a celebration honoring local farmers who had brought corn from Mexico during prohibition days - after which time things only picked up speed from there! Today, Sapulpa continues to thrivy under its new name and moniker - not only because its citizens enjoy excellent quality life options such as ample outdoor recreation opportunities available at nearby Lake Osage National Wildlife Refuge or even down at its main street where shops abound complete with souvenirs for purchase but also because business owners have embraced digital marketing techniques in order to keep pace with today’s ever-changing digital landscape!

Sapulpa, Oklahoma is located in the U.S. state of Oklahoma. The population was 9,382 at the 2010 census and it is the county seat of Sapulpa County. The city of Sapulpa was founded in 1907 and became a town in 1907. It was moved to its current location in 1925. The first post office at Sapulpa was established on December 12, 1907. The name for the city came from an Apache Chief's tip that there was a water source near the present-day Sapulpa city limits which he called "Sapuhla." In 1923, a fire destroyed most of the downtown area and left Sapulpa with only one block remaining standing until 1954 when new construction began that rebuilt much of downtown including the two blocks still standing today as well as many other buildings Note: There have been several changes to this history – see History of Sapulpa below In November 1942, during World War II, Japanese forces invaded America and occupied northeastern Oklahoma City before being driven out by American forces three months later. From then until Japan's surrender in 1945, Sapporo District Headquarters (JDO) remained headquartered outside of Oklahoman territory under American command and control until Allied military commanders ordered JDO to surrender on September 2nd 1945 pursuant to terms set forth in United States Joint Plan No. 2 - areas Occupied by Japan would be ceded to Russia while all others would be divided among Allies according to their respective war burdens (the United States had surrendered second). On October 20th1945 Sapporo District Headquarters formallysurrendered its jurisdiction overOklahoma City back to Great Britain through Chiefs Condon and Ritchie who met with Rear Admiral William Halsey Jr., Commander Fifth Fleet Pacific Ocean Area aboard USS Triton (CV-32) off Yokosuka Bay where they signed documents transferring sovereignty overOklahoma City from Japanese hands back into those of the United States
