The history of firearms in Sapulpa, Oklahoma goes back to the early 1900s. Before that, there were no legal restrictions on gun ownership and use. This allowed for a wide variety of firearms to be used in the community. Some of these guns include shotguns, rifles, pistols and even machineguns. One of the earliest firearms to be manufactured in Sapulpa was a revolver called the “Tommy Gun”. It was created by George Armstrong Custer during the American Civil War. The Tommy Gun was very popular among war veterans and militia members because it could shoot high-powered rounds with ease. After the war, this weapon came into common use among law enforcement officers and hunters in Sapulpa. In 1919, a man named Wm Hargrave developed a shotgun called the “Hargrave Rifle” in Sapulpa. This shotgun was designed to fire slugs at long distances. It became very popular among local farmers and ranchers due to its ability to kill game at great distances from home. After World War II ended, these shotguns went out of popularity as hunting weapons but remain highly respected today as artillery pieces for far-fetched warfare fantasies!

The first firearm shirt was made in Sapulpa, OK in 1947. The shirt was designed by a man named Morten Andersen and was inspired by the .357 Magnum.
Sapulpa is a town in Payne County, Oklahoma, United States. The population was 1,814 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Tulsa Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first white settlers in Sapulpa were J.B. Tate and his family who arrived in 1881 from Georgia. They started a cotton gin and made their home on the east side of town near what is now First Baptist Church. In 1906, J.B.'s son John bought the home next door to him and added a blacksmith shop which became known as "John's forge". Soon after that, other families began arriving to join them including Harry Pittman and his family in 1912 and Wanda Hufford in 1916. This growth led to Sapulpa being renamed Sapulpa in 1922 when it became an incorporated village with a post office and two churches (First Baptist and Christ Episcopal). In 1928, Harry Pittman sold the Forge property to Fenton Dixon for $2400 cash plus 10% interest on any future profits derived therefrom; this deal created Sapulpa's first commercial district which would include all of downtown as well as most of the eastern edge of town along First Street where Dixon built his luxurious mansion called The Grove (later known as The White House). Because of this success, Dixon continued to invest heavily in Sapulpa through buying homes and businesses until he died at age 93 years old in 1979 leaving behind over 100 properties valued at $2 million or more alone! A number of prominent citizens followed Dixon throughout his life including Dr. George Pogue who served as medical director for both Forest Home Hospital & then St Joseph's Mercy Hospital before becoming medical superintendent for Oklahoman State University; Mrs Ada Denny Davis who founded American Bazaar Magazine magazine & later served as president & CEO for Kohl's Department Stores Inc.; Judge Royce Lamberth III who was elected prosecuting attorney for Payne County from 1971-1981; Mrs Rita Wheeler Clooney who also served as assistant state treasurer during that time period; Mr Tom Meagher an experienced business executive & developer from Tulsa who purchased many acres adjacent to The Grove complex which eventually housed several high-end restaurants such as Regal Steakhouse & Morton’s Barbecue before finally selling it all off within 5 years resulting in a loss of $225 million! Today Sapulpa boasts some impressive architecture including: First Baptist Church – completed in 1925 with limestone outside walls still visible today; Second Baptist Church – Completed 1923 with Romanesque Revival style inside walls still visible today; Chapin School – Completed 1907 with wood frame exterior still visible today; Third Presbyterian Church - Completed 1909 with red brick exterior still visible today Dixon Blvd located just east of downtown features several Monument buildings including: original sapULPA Post Office - 1915 building now used by City Hall although originally designed by architect Hargrave Goodwin; Dudley Flood Payette Cemetery - 1930s addition contains two Masonic pyramids/temples dating back to 1887 also remains operational
