After World War II ended, many businesses closed down or changed hands due to changes in technology or location within Tulsa County; however, one business that survived through all these changes was First National Bank which still operates as an independent bank today serving Sapulpa with personal banking services as well as commercial lending products including mortgages and real estate loans. The decline in manufacturing throughout muchwestern United States during the early 21st century had significant effects on SapULPA's economy with declines seen especially around Steelheading (a major employer) followed by decline associated with tourism (the town's main industry) later that decade before eventually experiencing another resurgence starting around 2010-. However this recent resurgence has been more sporadic than earlier waves due largely to technological advancements making it difficult for small businesses/manufacturing jobs outside Wichita OK
