The Agricultural Experiment Station No. 4 (AES) was founded in 1922 by Drs. John Hogg III, Arthur Cockerill, Edward Doheny and others working under Secretary of Agriculture Charles Muncy Jr.. AES grew rapidly throughout World War II due to donations from people all over America as well as materials furnished by our American allies including Japan who were At war with America It should be noted that while much has changed over time at OU such as enrollment numbers or faculties/departments - there are some constants that have not changed such as our strong tradition of academic excellence within each discipline annually winning national awards!
