They started a post office in 1903 and built a log cabin near present-day Owasso on the Little River. In 1906, they married local girl Lillie Wray and moved to their present home on Ridge Road near the town square in 1912. They had six children: four daughters and two sons who grew up hereabouts; one daughter died when she was young; one son became an executive with American Telephone & Telegraph Company (ATT) in Tulsa; two girls attended high schoolHereafter he worked for them during their later years as teachers’ aides before retiring to live full time at his home about 1967 or 1968 Hickey also raised hogs which he would sell fresh off the farm each morning for breakfast at his house across from where he now resides on Ridge Road between 2009-present day He passed away unexpectedly on October 11th of this year 2017

Owasso is a town in Payne County, Oklahoma, United States. The population was 1,711 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Tulsa metropolitan area. Owasso was founded in 1907 by white settlers and named after Owsatchie River in east Texas. The first post office opened in 1909, and the name of the town changed to Owasso three years later. In 1915, it became a primary school district and then an independent township in 1920. The township was consolidated with Payne County in 1930. In 2007, Owasso established itself as a city and has since grown rapidly due to its location near Tulsa's Interstate 44 corridor and its role as an agricultural center for the region. The town began as small frontier settlement on the banks of the Owsatchie River where white farmers started farming around 1907. White settlers were attracted to this fertile land because it had no rapids or other obstacles that could slow down agricultural development downstream on the Arkansas River system which included Tulsa and Oklahoma City. When government surveys show that there were more people living within 10 miles of Tulsa than there were people living within 15 miles of Owasso (due to railroads), Clark County took over lands between those two towns to establish new townships21; however, no one moved into these newly created communities until after World War II when demand for housing increased among veterans returning from service during that conflict22; so much so that Clark County decided not to continue giving tracts away but instead developed them into larger villages23; although this change did not happen until 195424; following which time all parcels within 10 miles of Tulsa reverted back to rural status25; unfortunately for residents located nearer downtown who would have preferred some degree of commerce or services along I-44 they either had to leave their homes or go through long process of annexation26 which only happened after several community meetings27 leading up to it27; such incorporation proceeded more slowly than desired because members from both sides felt like they didn’t get what they wanted29: meaning that by 1970 only five out of 25 original townships had been annexed30 – leaving residents struggling just beyond downtown while businesses continued expanding outside its limits31: “In short, businessmen forced growth inside [the] city limits while efforts ceased outside them – usually resulting in decreased access by citizens to quality public services32” When global economic recession hit America early 2000s many smalltown mayors across country lost power33 despite promises made during campaigns34: such policy change was eventually blamed on then president George W Bush35: “As evidence mounted linking large-scale suburban sprawl with jobs outsourced overseas or raised rents at home, mayors throughout America embarked on ambitious urban revitalization plans36″ However, progress stalled once Obama came into office37: “Obama abandonedurban renewal goals as he pushed aggressive spending policies designed largely towards creating single family homes38″ This failure led Mayor Phil Anschutz (D) finally able To take controlof Owensboro & OKC governments with help from private interests39″ After years consolidation attempt failed including failures from Anschutz himself local media decided something needed done41
Owasso was founded in 1892 by George and Anna Owasso. The town is located on the Arkansas River, about 20 miles northeast of Tulsa. In 1922, Owasso was renamed for General Soocho, who fought in World War I and later served as the 31st Governor of Oklahoma.
