In 1907, two men named James Bowers and George Atchison were convicted of murder for shooting and killing a man named Edward Chamberlin in a dispute over a piece of land. The case became one of the most famous in American history. After spending almost 30 years on death row, Bowers was finally executed in 1966. The following year, another man was found guilty of murder after shooting and wounding two people at an OKC grocery store. The victim's family sued the shooter, but he won $3 million dollars when they dropped their lawsuit. This event is often referred to as "The Oklahoma City Shooting." In 1993, three men were caught with handguns while committing a home invasion in Tulsa. One of these men had been arrested before for attempted robbery with a handgun, so his firearm status wasn't clear. But because he had previous convictions for adjudicated mental illness, this man was sentenced to life in prison without parole after pleading no contest to all charges. In 1998, another gunman killed six people at an elementary school near Tulsa before fatally shooting himself hours later. In 2001, four gunmen opened fire on passengers originating from Northwest Airlines Flight 253 over Mexico City before taking their own lives inside the plane seconds later. This act is known as "the Oklahoma City bombing." In 2007, seven people were shot dead by police officers outside an OKC nightclub during what is known as "Tulsa Night Time" - an annual event where gangs target major cities throughout Tulsa County during dark hours for recreational purposes (usually involving drugs).

During World War II,Oklahoma City saw an increase in gun sales as residents prepared for war. chisoloille arms produced semiautomatic pistols for the military as well as rifles for civilians; meanwhile NRA member Oldsmobile Products Corporation manufactured shotguns using parts from chisoloille arms plants. Finally, in 2017 an individual named John Doe sought to file a lawsuit against three people he alleged had broken into his home unsuccessfully multiple times over the past year and stole items such as appliances and guns purportedly belonging to Doe’s family members (the case was ultimately dismissed). These examples indicate that there is still occasional attempt at bringing hardgun cases back into compliance with current law though they are usually met with resistance from defendants or claimants alike
